This isn't just peak fiction, it's Zenith Fiction

Incredibly charming game, the writing and characterization are genuinely funny, Yoko Shimomura delivers on music like always, and it's just a generally fun RPG to engage with.

Might be my favourite Mario game.

I could talk for hours on end about this game, but to keep it short, even with all its issues, this is very close to my perfect video game.

Miles better than anything the New Super Mario Bros. games did, but is leaning way too heavily on the easy side, even for the challenge levels.

Absolutely changes the game for open world games in terms of technology, combat is VASTLY improved over the first game and a lot of quality of life changes should make this stand above its predecessors.

Unfortunately for me, I felt the story was weaker, Kraven doesn't pull his weight in this story and is done pretty dirty, and not having unique suit abilities anymore is a slight bummer, nothing in this game compares to using an air guitar to wipe an entire rooftop of enemies.

You dig giant robots!
I dig giant robots!
We dig giant robots!
Chicks dig giant robots!

Nice!

I can just throw this game on, listen to the music and zone out while doing tricks and graffiti for hours, SEGA could never compete.

Very fun game, somewhat on the easy side, and makes some questionable changes to the Mega Man style of progression, but overall really enjoyable.

Giving Mega Man a grapple hook and spinning pile driver is so god damn smart.

I wish there was more pizza to tower.

I really liked this a lot more than Breath of the Wild, even though structurally, it's almost identical, but wrapping the story around "everything is happening now" rather than dealing with a calamity from 100 years ago just does something for me that makes it more enjoyable.

In saying that, over time, the same trappings that BOTW had that made me lose the magic over the course of the game happened to TOTK as well.

Highly suggest that if you start to feel like the game is wearing out on you, to just push through the rest of the story, as the ending sequences are incredible.

Alright let's get the important part out of the way first.

The gameplay and netcode of this game are immaculate, top class for Street Fighter and fighting games in general. The Battle Hub lobby system is such a fantastic idea for trying to keep arcade culture alive in the current era of fighting games, and World Tour adds a lot of meat to the game that really brings back the joy of fighting game releases being full packages.

Now with all that out of the way, World Tour mode kinda sucks. It's a fun enough mode, but the things you do inside it are really mundane and boring. The main story of your character and Bosch going through your own paths to get stronger is neat, but everything surrounding that and the "filler" quests to keep the story going suck. Also not having the main cast more involved with the story is really lame.

The game has soul just for adding Kiryu Coco to the roster after what happened to her.

I'll be honest, for most people, this would be super middle of the road, maybe 2.5 stars, but outside of the pretty mundane gameplay and static dungeons, I liked the music and the characters a lot, this might be one of my favourite parties in an RPG.

Pretty colours go brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
