Superb arcade racer, but it doesn't offer a tonne outside of that.

Just casually dropping one of the best written Sonic stories as an April Fools joke is the greatest April Fools joke I've ever fallen for.

Themes and Messaging were great, absolutely nailed what they were going for and I applaud them for doing so. Wasn't really feeling the gameplay and general feeling of the games physics though.

Wo Long has a really fun combat system with nothing in the game to really take advantage of it, and falls flat in every other aspect. Not a bad game by any means, best described as "mid". One of those games where you feel like you're going through the motions as you're playing it.

2018

This game nails everything it sets out to do with extremely fun gameplay, phenomenal music, and piling on reasons to keep doing runs over and over again.

Neon White is such a loser I love him, and Neon Purple is what every e-girl aspires to be.

Insanely fun and clever idea for an action game, making the entire game world and systems revolve around staying to the beat of the music is incredibly charming and fun when you get into the groove of it.

On top of that, the cast of characters is great, Chai is a loveable dork that brings back memories of early 00's cartoon characters, while the rest of the cast all play off him super well.

Every licensed track chosen is used to perfection, and the streamer mode music made to replace those tracks while streaming are fantastic too, though the licensed music does add that little extra flair to the entire package.

A decently fun game, the story set up is great and the characters that make up the main cast are all likeable. The skits that bring the party together are charming and funny too. The second half of the story feels a little confused though, they set things up in the beginning of the game so they make sure you know there's a plan, but they keep adding more layers on top of layers to make more twists until you get right to the ending.

Really dislike the combat and RPG mechanics that this new God of War has taken a direction in, the game devolves into a numbers game where you only deal damage if you've got high enough equipment on, rather than being free form and approachable no matter the skill level like other action games.

Story and world gives a slight buff, there are parts of the story that make me groan, but over all it's a great story with great characters.

I get why people don't like this game, I really do, but personally, I thought that the set piece moments in the game were incredibly fun, the combat for Bayonetta feels great, but there's an over reliance on the Demon Slave mechanic that overall detracts from the great new weapons added to this game.

Viola is a mixed bag, she's incredibly fun and a charming character with a great battle theme, and she's clearly made to be the Nero counterpart to Bayonetta's Dante, but she gets so few levels in the game that it feels somewhat pointless and she actually ends up having a harder time with enemies and the game design compared to how smooth and elegant Bayonetta feels. Definitely a weird miss step for her debut.

An incredible game that's hurt by poor technical issues throughout. Buried deep inside the 10FPS mess and flat looking world of Paldea is an incredibly fun game to just run around in, with great new Pokemon, and an actually fun new gimmick to the battle system.

The story pulls all of the weight in this game, I'm actually not a fan of the overall game design structure and RPG elements of this game. They've tripled down on RPG mechanics and gear systems, making every aspect that can be customisable being customisable while adding more, to the point it becomes a negative hinderance to some core aspects of the combat, like the shield being nerfed into 4 different shields with 4 different functions, when they were all unified into one shield in the prior game.

Again though, the story is so good in this, it makes up for the shortcomings in other areas. Great for one play through, I would never want to replay this.

A pretty chill and comfortable platformer. Could have used with a slightly higher difficulty ceiling in the main game. The ultimate knight challenge is incredibly frustrating and unfun, lowering the overall score of the game.

Really wish I could give this a higher rating than I am, but the later half of the game is just way too brutal. There's some really awful enemies to deal with through the second half of the game, and I understand difficulty can be appealing, but this felt like they made ball busting enemies for the sake of making the game harder, rather than enjoyably difficult.
