Sure there is still some jank but can play through 120 stars in my sleep. Movement still feels amazing.

Probably my fave in the series as the nostalgia is strong. But the world designs, challenge, Dixie flutter, all top notch.

Fully cop to the fact this is probably a bad game but I had fun as a kid with it. Can beat very quickly small mini game puzzler

Outdone by its 64 sequel in every way but still have a soft spot for this one

Never could get far in this game as it’s just way too hard and punishing and it never felt right like Mario did. Liked the opening stage though played that a lot

Biased review I’ll admit but perfect action puzzler. Lots of little intuitive little tricks you pick up while playing too. Sequels add more but may get a little too complicated.

Probably my first pair of games ever? What a combo duck hunt is usually not played for more than a few minutes but so neat at the time. Mario is a classic of course and gets so much right though I still hate the lives system when I revisit

Played a lot as a kid and have a soft spot for these 16 bit upgrades but can recognize them not to be as pure as the 8 but versions

My fave Mario physics. Flawless game great secrets. Super Mario maker made me appreciate the physics even more

A formative game for me. Played in countless times but I will always prefer the sequel

My first final fantasy. Won’t be my last! But despite I think this combat being fairly one note and repetitive without much incentive to change strategy other than boredom, it still kept my attention to do all the side quests etc. active time lore was a treat though I think they kinda phoned it in by the end or mine glitched not sure. Overall I see the issues with it but still had a good time. Also game designers cannot leave it to the player to find the fun and just from a strategy that is effective, my combat loop almost never changed cause it was always working I wish there were situations or something forcing me to change strategy in combat.

I place BOTW in my top 3 of all time I think. This really felt like a masters quest but the best masters quest ever. Fell back into the exploring groove right away and 80 hours just breezed by. The exploration was certainly a different flavour not sure which I prefer still. The fuse and tear drop abilities are so creative. I found the game to be quite easy with fuse basically meaning I always had a crazy strong weapon. Shrines were on par, dungeons also on par with divine beasts so a bit of a letdown there they still have not solved it. Also the game quests are kinda broken when you do things out of order which i did for two major quests. Still loved not hope they do something different next game though I think..new world maybe.

Loved it. Never played the original. Can't get enough of the resource managament in these games are just always pitch perfect. I though challenge was great, story was fun. Only ding is that I think I prefer the more puzzle-y nature of the first two that I played prior to this

fun little game. My second favourite of the games from this creator behind mechstermination force. I found the live system a bit odd as would incentivize suicide runs to get back to full lives to start a level. Bosses were fun and fair. short and sweet

The world was amazing and well realized, the combat was fairly engaging with a good parry and dodge. Bit combersome controls with so many spells. Eventually though you realize that leveling in the game makes no sense and the rpg elements also make no sense. Also that you can fly over everything which makes already meaningless encounters very skippable. I had my fill after 25 hours, final boss was a nail biter that I would have been mad if i had to do again. Story was okay not particularily memorable.
