now this is an top-notch expansion, good new characters, lots of meaningful additions compared to the Lost and Damnnd too such as more side activities, nightclubs, weapons and vehicles, the lighthearted and absurd tone contrast pretty well with the overall darker ambience and themes that the 2 previous campaigns had.

the mission variety is also good improvement over the base GTA IV and The Lost and Damned, every mission is unique from one another and manage to kept the whole game fresh and entertaining from start to finish unlike those two where I felt burned out after a while of playing.

it wraps out GTA IV's more undeveloped story arcs very nicely too, I would say that this is an must-play if you are interested to see more about the game, one of the best DLCs ever made for sure and I miss when Rockstar invested on more of these, Undead Nightmare from Red Dead Redemption is also great.

wow Ubisoft putting out an GOOD game? definitely wans't expecting that this game would turn out to be so great as it is, one of the most solid Metroidvanias in an while, almost everything here is captivating and inspired, smooth movement and controls, excellent combat that has a lot of options to consider while sucessfully manages to integrate the parrying mechanic in an meaningful way, interesting story, large variety of enemies, incredibly fun and frantic boss fights, amazing music, the tough trap gauntlets and platforming segments are very true to the series's identity, had a blast playing through it.

it could have been a bit more polished though, I had lots of different problems throughout my playthrough, one side mission for example was completely broken, I couldn't start it even by restarting the game, the only way to fix it is by starting an new game from stratch and this particular mission shows up nearly halfway through the game, Ubisoft didn't gave the enough time for these devs to properly polish their game as usual.

also had an issue with the fast-travel points throughout the game, this is one of the biggest maps that you will encounter in the Metroidvania genre and the later half will make you backtrack a LOT, maybe locking an specific amulet to enable fast travelling everywhere or buying an certain skill like in the Ori games would fix this minor problem.

nonetheless I still recommend grabbing this, it's an very inspired and solid Metroidvania, it may fall on my top 10 list actually, really looking forward for an DLC or an sequel in the future, I really that Ubisoft will not put down the series again after this strong return even with the lower sales.

one of the best platform games I ever played since Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze/Rayman Legends and the best Mario platformer since the 90s, it manages to hit the heights of these two games in nearly every regard, the levels always have something new and crazy to offer, the presentation is top-notch, the controls are tight, the new power-ups are all great, and the badge system allow for some creative decision making and playstyles on an otherwise standard platforming gameplay loop.

however some aspects definitely could have been better, the fact that two playable characters are locked behind an mandatory easier mode is kinda weird, just being an acessibility option to toggle in the options menu would sufice for some players who would like to play them without needing to make the game easier, the boss-fights are still very forgettable, Nintendo really needs to change these up in the coming games both 3D and 2D, re-using the same template across the 6 in-game worlds gets old fairly quickly.

overall Super Mario Bros. Wonder is one of the best 2D platformers ever made and made me more hopeful for Mario's future attempts in the 2D platformer genre, the solid and creative level-design, fantastic presentation and quirkness sucessfully brought back some of the energy and creativity the side-scroller games in this series previously had before the 2000s, an must-play for any Switch owner.

Now that RE4 Remake is out it makes better sense what this game is. It's clear the RE2 Remake team wanted to do RE4, therefore, someone had to do RE3, but the release of it shouldn't conflict with Village, so it HAS to be out by 2020, hence: a game that barely resembles Resident Evil 3 and more closely resembles a piece of crap DLC. I could almost guarantee that if you asked the director what happened to this game, he'd say, "Well we had a year to develop a AAA Resident Evil release. It's a miracle any of this happened at all." He'd be right, too!

There is no doubt they probably wanted a more dynamic Nemesis system, but that has to be a pain in the fucking ass to program and playtest, so he is restricted to much easier to manage scripted-sequences. Every problem this game has easily points to the idea that they didn't have time to make this while the main teams were developing Village and 4. This is a total bummer because Nemesis is such a fun game with so many great set-pieces, and RE3 2020 barely resembles that game.

Carlos rules though. Carlos alone justifies rating this 3 stars.

tutorial de como não fazer um remake.

Immaculate remake that expands and evolves concepts and storylines from the original perfectly while keeping the charm and intrigue of the original.

Capcom strike gold again with an absolute masterpiece of gaming.

one of the best remakes ever made, I was initially skepctical about Resident Evil 4 being remade, the original is pretty much perfect in just about anything it sets out to do and is easily available to play in every living video game system, the combat sandbox, the camera perspective, the identity and personality, it was unique and timeless especially for that time period, Capcom was at least 10 years ahead of everyone when they shipped RE4 back in 2005.

but since they were remaking RE4, let's give it an shot and see how it goes, I wans't expecting the same level of excellence the original had but oh boy did they nailed it! it's clear the amount of understanding and passion Yasuhiro Anpo's team at Capcom have for the original, everything that made the original stand out is here but essentially remixed and amped up to 11, I personally enjoyed on how much the game knows it's audience and always makes playful changes to attemp to grab veterans's expectations, it feels like an high-budget fan game in some areas and I mean that in high regard, normalize remakes that are created equal to the originals.

it also just feels great to play an game that delivers this classic PS2/game-y experience, it's not afraid to just being fun, thrilling and endlesslly replayable especially in this current video game industry's constant obcession with cinematic experiences, if you treat it like an GAME you will be rewarded and I missed that feeling.

I don't think it replaces or exceeds the original game and I think the developers also took notice of that but these two games are basically in the same level, each game has it's key differences and I honestly think that this is the best outcome if you are remaking an monumental game like this one, respect it's previous vision and try to do something different that sets it apart from that original, some remakes are 1 to 1 simply because of their aging design or limited hardware (see Metroid Zero Mission or even RE1 Remake), RE4 didn't needed something like that because the original already set an distinct standard that lots of games replicated afterwards, I am really glad they took the meaning "Remake" to it's fullest potential with this, it makes me a bit sour about Dead Space Remake in comparison.

with that said I will definitely replay this game alongside the original work for many years to come.

really solid entry, tight controls, great level-design and incredible visuals for the 3DS.

the Hypernova ability might get a bit repetitive later in the game but it manages to deliver some really good puzzles with it which is nice.

overall an must-play if you like platformers, Planet Robobot looks even better.

Smash in an portable form where you can play anywhere, what could go wrong? it has everything that makes the series great, tight controls, simple combat mechanics for beginners, good roster of classic characters and tons of content.

great visuals for the 3DS as well, everything is smooth as butter and feels great to play.

it might be standard now compared to Ultimate but the content that we have here is really nice, Smash Run especially is addicting and extremely fun to play although I found some enemies in it a bit annoying and the lack of different maps/events can be clumbersome after a while of play.

overall if you have an 3DS this is an must-have, it's simple combat mechanics can be enjoyed by anyone and an great array of fun game modes to play.
