I’m late to the party on this, but even being a title from the PS2 era, I throughly enjoyed it. I enjoyed the overall pacing and level design of the first game slightly better, but this was still also solid. Great boss fights, solid gameplay again, and they got rid of my least favorite parts of God of War 1 - multiple balance beam, platforming sections.

I thought this was a good game overall, but I’ve learned from it that card based action - especially in rogue style games - aren’t really my thing. That having been said, for the price and for what it is, I think this is a really well made game.
I thought the art style was fun, and I honestly did enjoy trying to find weird and unique things to do with the deck possibilities. I beat the base game with each character, and the full ending with one. I did start to dread having to start over again more so than enjoy the challenge so I doubt I’ll go back anytime soon.
If you like deck building games I would recommend this.
