One of my favorite games ever by now. Bashful in every sense of the word, a love letter to the medium and oneself. This is why games are art

Probably one of the best RPGs ever made, offering loads of player freedom in regards to gameplay and the narrative, with the bleak tone and atmosphere surpassing the latest and "greatest" RPGs released nowadays

An endeavor that took a year and a half. Definitely not something I can easily recommend, even with the no h-scenes patch, but one that's gonna stick with me for years to come

Was an unexpected hit with me, mixing elements found in other detective-like visual novels to offer it's own unique spin on the death game genre, coupled with the soundtrack and art style, definitely an experience worth checking out

Not only a mechanical step-up from the first game, but also narratively as well. One of best games in the series, one of the best PS2 games out there.

Intentionally holds itself back in order to deliver one of the more hard-hitting finales in the series. I am so ready for Like a Dragon 8.

Expected to love this one much more but as it stands it's an experience that I think shouldn't have been overshadowed by later entries. That ending especially gives Persona 3 a run for it's money

Mechanically a step-up from the first one, really tried to make the combat better and more rewarding. Unfortunately the narrative tries to do too much and doesn't always deliver

Maybe a skill issue on my part but I don't get the love, but it's a very fun game regardless

Sad to see this game not being talked about as much as other entries when it's one of the more smarter games in the series. It doesn't always stick the landing, but it's a well-written period piece with all the hallmarks of other Like a Dragon games

Easy to say that Dragon Quest is a series that's become outdated in the current era but I couldn't disagree more. Very simple in it's scope but will capture your heart nonetheless

Replayed this one, and ended up liking it a lot more this time around. Heavily disagree on this being a critique of Danganronpa, as it reads much more like a celebration of fiction itself. Very very far from groundbreaking or thought-provoking at all though

I don't enjoy this one. Great combat, unfortunately it fumbles in every other area and as you approach the finish line you can feel the budget tightening

Enjoyed the many playthroughs I did, even if all of them were exactly the same. Maybe it's due to the length, but didn't really leave a lasting impression

Makes me a little angry, love the first half, hate the second half, hate the twist, and the last 15 minutes aren't really good enough to make up for it. My opinion on this will become more positive or negative depending on the path AI 3 takes

Opinions on this one have definitely gotten more positive in retrospect, maybe that's just my mind trying to bury all the weird shit but I think the atmosphere and soundtrack are great. The Kouji and Ryoko ending especially is a highlight for me
