This is a complete miscalculation of what people wanted from the Resident Evil series. A terrible horror game, though as a standalone action game I think it's actually pretty solid. Really wish it had a decent story, though.

Stop me if you've heard this one before, but this is a very boring and derivative third-person shooter that can be completed in less than six hours and has basically no replay value. Impressive graphics for the time, but otherwise it's quite possibly one of the blandest games ever made.

Basically God of War if it was like 80% cutscenes and 20% gameplay. Some of the action scenes are neat but the story just isn't strong enough to get me invested in much. Selling the last few chapters of the game separately will probably be remembered as one of the most infamous decisions in all of gaming.
