One of the most emotional and heartbreaking stories put to video games. I love games that really utilize the medium to tell a story that could only be told by games, and this is just that. Play it.

Great party game for up to 4 players. Almost guaranteed to break friendships when the "person" doing tracks gets distracted. Surprisingly deep gameplay with lots of it.

nvm they can keep making them :D this 1 was good

Pentiment might be the hardest game to recommend that I've ever played. It's a wonderful, unique and heart touching game that picks its moments spectacularly. A fascinating story of the church and German middle ages with as much historical accuracy as possible. Chock full with lore, player choice and influence and actual repercussions for your actions, it's immersing as all hell. An immensely deep and intricate experience, Pentiment is a story that will hook you and not let you go until the end of its story while the scars from the hook are likely to remain forever.

Oh, and the only game I've ever played that made me cry.

Cute little point and click adventure game, solid story but isn't amazing at anything. Decently powerful ending that could have been enhanced by not having the rest of the game be mediocre.

Quite good fighting game, one of the best I've seen. Modernised and open to newer players (like myself) and just generally fun to play.

Pretty great puzzle game, inventive puzzles that never get boring and consistently engage and challenge. The game is a little less smart than it thinks it is and the difficulty flip flops alot as most puzzles took me less than 3 minutes but some took me way longer. In general the game was a little easier than I'd hoped (and i dont think im particularly good at puzzle games) but overall as challenging enough and interesting enough to make the game very good.

Nothing particularly special, decent rhythm game but doesn't really do anything to make it interesting or different. Generally falls flat due to limited characterization and undeveloped story. The PC port for this is also horrid and the main attraction of the game for most people (the level editor and custom levels) are not available on PC either.

A great board game ported to online well with QOL added to make it a constantly entertaining experience with friends and solo. The rotating expansions is really what makes this a positive experience.

A fun little Inscryption roguelike that works well enough but ultimately isn't as interesting as other roguelikes of the same genre.

Peak Pokemon, mostly due to the experimental emphasis on story meaning this isn't just another catch 'em all Pokemon game, it's also a game that can stand alone outside of the Pokemon name and still be genuinely fun and interesting.

The story itself is initially cloudy but N and his relationship to Team Plasma and the protagonist is what powers this story. N is such an endearing character and the game really sells the story of him and Team Plasma as a justifiable cause with evil management and brings up a serious moral and ethical issues with capturing and using Pokemon.

Ultimately the game strings the best of Pokemon with an amazing story into what will likely be the only Pokemon game of this ilk.

this is the best game ever made. the pure characterization of the protagonist and construction of the setting is simply amazing and nothing previous or after has left me feeling quite the same. desert lost is not just a game, it is a pure work of art. the antagonists of the game are unique and extremely well crafted and making me question my political stance and what i thought were simple facts about myself, the way i behave and treat others. it truly changed me for the better. the visuals, the controls, the audio design and the core game mechanics all come together to create the most enjoyable and meaningful experience of my life. it is hard to describe in words as it evokes emotions in their purest state. true mastery of game design and storytelling has been exhibited in this masterpiece that is unrivaled in all media. games will no longer be compared to half-life, dark souls or other titans of storytelling and game design. the undisputed game of our generation, no, the best game that will ever even be conceived, let alone be crafted into such a masterpiece, is desert lost.

A slightly cliche but nonetheless entertaining game that doesn't leave the lasting impact on me it hoped it might.

Fine game, interesting concept but overall just meh.

Decently enjoyable game with okay combat, good characters and a questionable story that really could have used another 5 hours of content at the end. When you get to the hope and the game requires a fucking sitcom ending that says: "Here's where every character ended up after we ended at an inopportune place". Just add another bit of game with that in it? It's Obsidian it isn't like they don't have the time and money for it. A very strange but engaging experience.
