The gameplay is great. It’s possibly my favorite out of all mainline Megami Tensei games alongside Nocturne. The exploration is also a high point, even if it’s rather easy to get lost. The music goes unbelievably hard, one of the best soundtracks in any Atlus games.

As for the story, the gameplay is great.

I would ride Akechi like a fucking train tbh

A shockingly accurate portrayal of Rio de Janeiro during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Infamous: Second Son died for this.

A journey just like my own: go as far as you can only to have your progress suddenly halted later.

An absolute gem of a game. The combat may not have aged well and it's a considerable downgrade in comparison to the two other installments, but it's nonetheless a genius game with incredible level design and great storytelling. Please let there be a Remake of this soon.

EDIT: Well that last part did not age well. :(

The fact that this pretty much won't be localized ever gives me genuine pain. With a gripping story and characters, especially in the last two Cases, this is easily the best Ace Attorney game and what solidified Edgeworth as not only my favorite character in the series, but also one of my faves in videogames as a whole.

If you find the translation patch and your PC can run DS games just fine, I beg of you: play this.
