Main Game Sims Titles + ALL DLC
A collection all main line sims games, 1 - 4. With every DLC (Expansion, Game, Stuff, and Kit packs) for every game in order of release(I think?)
Here are some numbers of all of those who want to know how much EA has screwed the community over with stupid amounts of DLC. By game first:
The Sims(7 Expansions),
Sims 2(8 Expansions, 10 Stuff Packs),
Sims 3(11 Expansion Packs, 9 Stuff Packs),
Sims 4(15 Expansions, 12 Game Packs, 20 Stuff Packs, 25 Kits).
That is in total across the whole series: 41 Expansion Packs, 20 Game Packs, 39 Stuff Packs, and 25 Kits, or 125 DLC's for four games.
As for cost I don't care that much to find historical prices and do all the math... SIKE. Now my math not be 100% correct due to little errors and the lack of historical information regarding prices (It's just a lot of "I think," or "I remember."), all will be done in American prices.
The Sims: Base Game: 50$, 7 Expansions Packs: 25$x7= 175$, Total: 225$,
Sims 2: Base Game: 50$, 8 Expansion Packs: 30$x7= 210$, 10 Stuff Packs: 20$x10= 200$, Total: 460$,
Sims 3: Base Game: 20$, Expansion Packs: 20$x11= 220$, Stuff Packs: 20$x9= 180$, Total = 420$,
Sims 4: Base Game: Free, Expansion Packs: 40$x15= 600$, Game Packs: 20$x12= 240, Stuff Packs: 10$x20= 200$, Kits: 5$x25 = 125, Total = 1165$.
Total cost of all main line Sims Games plus all DLC is: 2270$, or just about 45 individual 50$ games.
Regardless though, I think the biggest telling of these calculations is that the Sims 4 is a joke. being about 2.8 time more expansive then the Sims 3; which yet again, regardless of anything, quality, inflation, game play, is too expensive to be justified in any sense. Anyways, I still plan to subject myself to the challenge of reviewing every individual game and DLC.
So far I have completed all of The Sims 1, and The Sims 2; however I will be doing The Sims 3 differently then before. As instead of reviewing all in one giant sitting, I will be reviewing each as I play them over a longer period. Since I will have to buy the expansions from EA directly on their app. Same thing for The Sims 4, that I will be playing in combination with The Sims 3.
