A so called "arty game" that manages to use actual gameplay to help tell its story rather than feeling like an after thought

Need I say anything that hasnt been said about one of the all time great western RPGs that marries old school RolePlaying depth and character writing with more modern accessible FPS gameplay?

A great game and exemplar of the "walking sim" genre but a lot more involved than many of its peers

The best total war game to date (don't @ me). Streamlined in ways that make the experience better but without losing the soul that makes these games great and the realm divide solves the perennial steam roller problem of becoming to powerful for the endgame to be fun.

Excellent turnbased strategy game, again streamlined to be more accesible but retaining the core appeal of these games, wonderful potential for emergent player storytelling and organic tension with player permadeath

My honest favourite Immersive Sim after Deus Ex. And like its father, quite janky combat.

If less is more, Thomas Was Alone is the apex of game design. Does a lot with very little.
