A great narrative journey that is fun to play through from start to finish. Just wish some collectables weren't missable. I had to restart the entire game because I "used" a statue before examining it first, and that is tied to a collectable that you can't get anywhere else.

Just good. Tense, fun and not too unfair or challenging.

It's just a good game. It feels good to play and it's got a lot of great set pieces. Mommy Dimitrescu has the best level in the entire game though. The ending left a lot to be desired, and Chris's portrayal felt a little out of left field for his character. They could have literally just used someone else to fulfil the role he plays in the game.

Fun little romp with a nice aesthetic. I wish the combat could've utilized actual card-based combat, however, but the narrative was good and the characters were interesting and fun.

Not fun to play honestly. Jumping around in narrative and characters is confusing.

Nice little narrative romp. Mae is annoying at times though. Might do a second playthrough for the alternate friendship route, but it doesn't feel like much would change with the story at all.

Great at first, but I don't feel the need or motivation to put in the time to get all the endings and characters.

It's beautiful, but it feels so unfair at points. I was dying and struggling for a lot of it due to missing pixel-perfect jumps or failing to land on tiny platforms. I'm already bad at platformers, so I know I will never finish this.

Just a fun Yakuza game. The story is all over the place, with a lot of the middle chapters feeling like filler nonsense, and the gameplay becomes very boring with only the one fighting style that gets old quickly. The Dragon Engine is great though.

Interesting ideas and gameplay, but I got bored. Might come back to it at some point, but I don't know.

2018

Fucking masterpiece. Nuff said.

The open-world design feels so empty and pointless. The rewards you get for exploration feel lacklustre and not worth the effort it takes to get them. Did not enjoy my time with the game.

Interesting concept and a nice visual style, but it's very unfair. Might be too hard for me personally, but I might come back to it at some point.
