Really fun and relaxing puzzle game.

It was sometimes kind of arbitrary what the game was asking me to do on some of the multiple solution puzzles, and I swear there were some points where I had put the correct answer but things weren't aligned in the exact way the game wanted, but this was still a great time. Fun to complete as well.

This is peak sonic gameplay right here. I think might like the level themes in sonic 2 a bit more, but the level designs are just perfect in this. Music is top tier as always and the amount of replayabilty from the multiple characters and secret rings to find in the levels make this feel amazing.

Played using Sonic 3 AIR. Best way to play this imo

Mainly based on the campaign as I've not played much multiplayer (feels very similar to splatoon 2 which is a good thing)

The gameplay variety was pretty good overall and I appreciated that all the collectibles were in the overworld so the levels could be tight gauntlets.

Some really obnoxious challenges near the end which thankfully you don't have to beat in order to progress to the end! (You can skip quite a few levels if you only want to see the credits)

Played this with a friend in 1 sitting. The actual gameplay was quite fun and the puzzles felt challenging enough, but the weird visual style and overall unpolished nature kept me from really saying I enjoyed this.

100% Completed. Never again 🥲

I adore the island aesthetic and think that Mario controls amazingly for the most part, definitely better than 64.

The highs of this game are really high, but the lows are so bloody low with some of the most Troll-ish level design I've seen in a Mario game. The level flooded in lava? That stupid chuckster level? And due to how the final boss is gated off, you have to suffer through most of these even on a regular playthrough.

Don't go for 100%, it really isn't worth it, especially with how tedious getting all the blue coins is.

Sunshine's a pretty enjoyable time for the most part if you only want to see the ending, but 100% is a absolutely monotonous test of patience.

Gameplay is already top notch but the story and aesthetic of the game and especially carry this easily to masterpiece territory for me.

Actually looks like a Garfield shitpost on YouTube

Yep, this certainly is a game that exists.

It's probably the best of these 8 bit sonic games so far gameplay wise, but it's so braindead easy. you can literally beat this game in like half an hour

When the bonus challenge pinball levels you do inbetween the actual game play so much better than the actual levels, you know this is going to be shit.

There's some good music (not counting th options music lol), but otherwise this is just frustrating in all the wrong ways.

Despite going into this one skeptical, I really enjoyed this, probably even more than the original game. I think it's overall a slightly weaker game due to the level designs really going back into the annoying parts of sonic 1, but the structure of the game fits these open levels a lot more.

Also this game's style is amazing. levels all look super creative and the music is top tier sonic bangers.

Basically takes everything that worked in the first game and ramps it up to 11. There's almost non of the pacing issues that bogged down the first game and even some of the slower levels are still really fun.

Also the music in the first game was already great but basically every song in this slaps so hard

One of the most annoying games I've ever played, feels like it's actively designed to drive you insane.

The somewhat slippy controls of the first game are really hard to overlook in a game that is actively more painful to finish.

The music make it funny in a meme way for like 15 seconds and then you're just left with a shitty puzzle game that never ends lol

Technically, it counted for my marathon and it honestly was pretty fun. Nothing amazing, just a standard old arcade game but felt pretty addicting

Sonic doesn’t actually feel that bad to control despite the obvious downgrade from the regular version.

Feels even more Mario-y than the original in design but most levels actually work around the limitations. Doesn’t stop there from being some really cheap shit in the boss fights and some of the levels.
