This game is ridiculously adorable, like it's just a whole maelstrom of cute. Atlus should finally give this game an official translation, call it wholesome or something, pretend someone with genders made it, and they'd be running all the way to the bank with the amount of money this whimsy-core nicefest would make with all the depressed burned out idiots like me.

Just look at how cute and pretty the pixel art is! It looks like those pixel art mock up you see constantly on Twitter, but it's like, a real game. And everyone is nice and fun to interact with, except for the villagers who think the protagonist is a witch, but like, that's secret queer theming so that's ok, and you end up befriending them anyway.

At its core, it Is just a very basic Atelier-like, especially similar to the more stripped-down entries in the series, like Atelier Marie. But there's nothing wrong with that. I enjoy Atelier games, and this is a pretty good aesthetic take on the genre. And the time-magic gimmick, while not mechanically revolutionary, does add a bit of personality to the general play.

I dunno, I did two runs of this, and got the bad ending both times. Because I'm really bad at this Atelier stuff. But that was like, 12 solid hours of cutesy fun, so I can't say I have anything against this game. I'll probably give it another go and see if I can at least get the normal ending, but I don't think I'll get there. It's good.

Wario's first foray into his own adventure and it's a solid one at that. Wario Land plays like a slower paced but heavier Mario which is extremely satisfying due to his ability to shoulder bash + pick up and throw enemies. One of the things I like is that you need to use coins you collect to active checkpoints and end stage doors, which in turn makes levels more exploratory and less easy to cheese like a Mario game. I love the treasure collecting aspect of this game and the fact that you have multiple endings based on how much treasure you collect. The controls are a little unpolished but that's just gameboy jank for you. Excited to play the others in the series.

why couldnt we have gotten TREASURE to develop this 😭

The idea of what is basically anime Hitman is funny and genuinely a great idea... too bad the guy who made it is an awful person AND an awful dev.

I'd love to see a more competent dev or team pull off the idea, because there's some potential here.

felicia the type of girl to suck 37 dicks but stays loyal and make lasagna

morrigan just cheatin on ya

some bastard stole my copy of this game in middle school when i saved just before the final boss and i haven't gotten over it since

Despite being less aesthetically interesting than 1-3/World and causing Nintendo to shamelessly sell out, this is the best 2D Mario imo. It's the only entry where I'd say the controls feel just right.

cant believe the mega drive was capable of all this chaos. Further proves my opinion of this console beating the shit out of the SNES (despite it being the first game I beat on the genesis). I played this for quite sometime due to general fumbling but now that I had gotten around to properly beating it comfortably, hell yeah this game is fucking rad

Just wrapped up my final match on Splatoon 1, This was one of my personal favorites from the Wii U era and I have a lot of memories attached to it. I love the game’s energy and vibes and it’s depressing that most of that will now be gone after the server shutdown (Although Pretendo will come in clutch). I never really got into the sequels but the original Splatoon will always have a special place in my heart.

I don't get, WHY PEOPLE SAYS THIS GAME IS AWFUL? THIS GAME IS INCREDIBLE.
I think people compare this game with more recent games or with their homonimus Metroidvania games, when in reality, this is a 3D take ON CLASSIC CASTLEVANIAS.
The game is segmented in stages, LIKE CLASSIC CASTLEVANIAS, it's more methodical LIKE CLASSIC CASTLEVANIAS and it's levels are more focused on plataforming and it's secrets on power ups LIKE CLASSIC CASTLEVANIAS.

Strong points:

1) Excellent level design
2) Superd controls, yes, don't pay attention to anyone who says otherwise, you have to rate the controls based on the game age, and it has better control and enemy lock on than Occarina of Time and Majora's Mask. It fixes the problems that Castlevania 64 gameplay had.
3) This is not a precuel of Castlevania 64, it's a REMAKE. Cornell's story is the precuel, once you beated the game you unlock a second character, Henry, and if you play through Henry's campaing completing his objectives you unlock Reinhard and Carrie, the protagonist of Castlevania 64 and with them THE ACTUAL CASTLEVANIA 64.
4) Picking up with what I said, 4 playable characters, each of them has some unique bosses, different gameplays and secrets.
5) A good bunch of secrets in various areas including secret bosses.

Weak points:

1) The camera, like almost all the games of the N64 and PS1 era.
2) The story is somewhat cliché-

Overall, an EXCELLENT and injustified hated Castlevania game.
PLAY IT IF YOU LOVE THE FRANCHISE.

A surprisingly nice turn-based RPG. And it's a tie-in based on one of the most overrated franchises of all times.
...the first GBC games felt really like a fever dream, but yeah, they did happened and do exist. Absurd.

Minigames (especially Quidditch) and some bosses (the giant spider of the forest can burn to hell) were slightly frustrating iirc.

Too bad you can't control Gilderoy, I was so curious to check his magics.

Oh what’s that you wanna get the sonic hat set for your birds FUCK YOU, you have to go to that fucking tower of fortune and cross your fingers that you don’t get a pig card which by the way if you end up getting the pig card you can either use your gems to keep going or watch ONE random ass Ad OOOORRRRRR pay us all your hard earn money for MORE GEMS.

What’s that you lost at a level well HOW ABOUT YOU GIVE US YOUR FUCKING MONEY SO YOU CAN BEAT THE LEVEL COME ON NOW WE REALLY NEED THAT CASH CASH CASH!

rovio is the worst gaming company, prove me wrong

Probably should have bought the PS2 version, but hey the PS1 version is still a rock solid port. The game itself is perfect, they just polished the gameplay and presentation from the first 2 to a shiny gloss.
