An expansion which introduces rogue like elements to the game play. I always thought the weakest aspect of the main game was any of the procedurally generated battles, and this is nothing but that. If you really enjoy the combat of the game and don’t mind the proc’ gen’d stuff, then this will be perfect for you. The other DLCs are much stronger and more interesting in my opinion.

A bite sized story, approximately 5-6 hours. I think this format is much more interesting than the long sprawling and meandering stories of the mainline games.

This game has better side content that the first, but the story is not nearly as solid as the first game in my opinion.

Nice little logic puzzle game. Introduces new mechanics at a good pace, and game doesn’t overstay it’s welcome. I do wish that there were markup tools. ~4 hours to complete.

Currently in a living situation where I only have access to my Steam Deck. Game seems to crash at the beginning of Chapter 2, after the title card scene, and I cannot figure out how to fix this issue. Tried obvious fixes like reinstalling the game. If anyone has any suggested, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Really well executed game! Love the music and the look of the game, but I absolutely did not click with the gameplay at all, which is really upsetting to me. It is definitely worth checking out though.

Shelved until they do some bug fixes/quality improvements for this game.

Had to reload the game to fix game breaking bugs on multiple occasions.

Golfing, the primary verb in this game, hitches while you're trying to time your button presses, which is frustrating to put it nicely.

But even if the game didn't have the bugs or the performance issues mentioned above, the game feels...unfinished? It feels bad to do a lot of the things in this game. Load times are long, dialogue is stilted and weirdly paced. It just overall feels unpolished.

in terms of vibes, it was extremely "Steven Universe" in a way that I wasn't expecting, which was on me, I didn't do my research. Extremely not for me, but if you enjoyed things like Steven Universe or Owl House, you'll probably enjoy the themes and style of this game a lot.

just a spectacular experience. Short, tight experience. Completely understands the PS1 horror game aesthetic.

As someone who greatly enjoys rogue-lite type of games, I feel like this game did not benefit from being a rogue-lite. Perhaps I'll come back to elaborate on this review some other day.

I don't think this is a bad game by any means, but it wasn't the game I was hoping for personally.

a quaint little rhythm game

It doesn't top Downwell (a game I would call perfect) but Poinpy is a tremendous follow up act.

christ this took me a decade to beat

just an incredible piece of storytelling from start to finish.
