Great game, beautiful visuals and audio. Gameplay is pretty solid, but it's pretty short and I'm thinking it has an even better chance to shine in subsequent playthroughs/NG+.

Triple Cheogh cock and ball torture/10

Very good game that takes a little while to really dig into. Lots of people have made it out to be very one-note, or "you just like it or you don't", which I feel shows they probably didn't give it enough patience. The game starts off on the slow side, but with a few hour's investment you can clearly see it evolve and really do unique and interesting things; you can rush through this game's story in a handful of days but it's very worth your time to do a decent amount of optional deliveries, building relationships with characters who usually justify going out of your way just for them.
Some things can get a bit frustrating, including special/boss fights but it doesn't happen often, and with proper focus, it won't trouble you much.
Death Stranding takes time to bloom but when you give it enough time and patience, it really shines.

Wonderfully rich game that always has something new for you. People like to knock the UI, which is fair, but in a lot of ways it really works; full use of the keyboard severely reduces the bottleneck between wanting to do something and getting it done. Yes, lots of things are hidden in arcane menus, but there's not too many of those, and with time you'll have them down to muscle memory and designating a spare stray llama to be neutered in a tenth of a second flat. That said, it can certainly use reworks in some areas, but that's more a matter of keeping things consistent. Many menus have their own idiosyncrasies that raise the learning curve just a bit more than necessary.
Ultimately it's a very impressive and unique project that does things no one else has come close to, but mechanically still needs lots of work for a chance at the mainstream. Still very worth your attention.
GOAT.

2018

One of the finest games I've ever played. Wonderful design and gameplay throughout, in all aspects, hits all the right notes. Occasional performance issues but never bad enough to make me really complain. The multiplayer really deserves more attention from the devs, and also the players, it's a great time and worth checking out with friends but could really do with more variety, customization, and HUP.

Play this game.

One of the best games I've played that I also suck shit at.

Fun gameplay mixed too thinly between tedium that just turns it into a slog. It's generally a good evolution of the first, the additions are very fun but you just hit a point where you're doing nothing new for a long time and then forced through more bullshit. Really sticks out like a sore thumb in the era of the revival of no-frills high-action shooters. DRASTICALLY overstays its welcome.

MANKIND IS DEAD
BLOOD IS FUEL
MY PANTS ARE FULL

Holy shit, what a phenomenal game. Even just considering the demo, it's a very strong GOTY contender. Insane gameplay loop and great design that I'm glad to see kept up between the demo and Early Access release. This was really my first introduction to action games with style rankings and Ultrakill makes it very difficult to want to leave a level under P-rank.
