I don't think it's happening guys

This was, to say the least, not very good. I can acknowledge when a game simply hasn't aged well and when it just wasn't good from the beginning, and this is a case of the latter.

Tomb Raider tries to be so edgy to the point it's just weird, what's the point of putting Lara though so much trauma? And the brutal death scenes? It just doesn't fit very well.

The story, to be blunt, was shit. At no point did I ever care about any of the stakes or characters. The game did not do a good job at getting me to care whatsoever.

The gameplay is similarly bad. It's repetitive, tedious, and boring. It has the same problem that Uncharted: Drake's Fortune had, where there's horde after horde of enemies with only mind-numbingly stupid puzzles in-between, the difference is, Tomb Raider was made by an experienced studio in 2013, while Uncharted was made by a studio rather inexperienced in the genre in 2007.

Overall, Tomb Raider is just another piss & shit filter, dark & gritty, nothing story shooter from the late 2000s and early 2010s, and it is incredibly forgettable. They tried to be Uncharted but edgy, and failed, miserably. Getting through this game was a genuine struggle as I felt like playing something better about 15 minutes into each play session. Although the one thing I can praise about this game is the atmosphere, it does that quite well.

Also, didn't really raid any tombs, 40/100.

"I love you brother, and I'm sure gonna miss you."

inFAMOUS Second Son is such a fun game. The powers are creative, the effects, especially sfx, are fantastic, and the combat is satisfying.

The story is relatively weak, especially compared to the first two games, but the characters are still pretty good, on the good karma route at least. It's pretty clear they didn't think too hard about there actually being an evil playthrough because it's incredibly unsatisfying and the dialogue in neutral scenes isn't changed to show your alignment.

Delsin, as a protagonist is decently likable. He's not too heroic, unlike Cole, and he's not that funny (except for a couple specific jokes). The side characters are pretty good, Fetch and Reggie stand out the most to me, especially Reggie in a good karma run and Fetch in evil karma. Eugene and others are pretty eh, except Celia I really enjoyed the Paper Trail side missions and her character.

Augustine is not a great villain, to be honest. She's supposed to be a hateable villain until it's revealed why she founded the D.U.P., and it didn't really work, because she continued being unlikable.

The soundtrack, though, is by far the best part of the game. It's so peak.

85/100.

2022

Such an incredible game, the adorable kitty, nice interactions, varied environments, and slightly repetitive gameplay make for an amazing game such as this.

If nobody got me, I know Chrome Dino got me.

"I've had everything handed to me on a goddamn silver platter. Everything except for this."

Incredible game. The visuals are still stunning even 7 years later, the environments are absolutely gorgeous and the character models look great. The story, but more importantly the characters are phenomenal, and the soundtrack is amazing. Only gripe is that it is fucking impossible to play the game without aim lock on because of the sensitivity and bloom (or maybe I just suck).

Way better than Uncharted 1 in every aspect, as a sequel should be. Story, characters, and most importantly, gameplay were all greatly improved and it was quite fun yet challenging, and the puzzles weren't easy but weren't frustrating.

Only complaints are that some times they didn't make it very easy to figure out where to go next and those stupid fucking armored guys.

"A man chooses, a slave obeys."

Great game overall, the atmosphere was fantastic but some times the hordes of enemies at a time got annoying, the amount of awesome fucking God powers and sick ass guns you're given makes it bearable though. Story was good, I guess. I don't really know.

80/100

Seeing Lee with Clem again after she got shot genuinely made me break down, I had to take a small break, I've never had that happen with a game before.

This game was a lot shorter than I was expecting but either way it's amazing, it was fun, sad, and funny and the characters are written incredibly.

Watched a guy attempt to groom my friend

Short and sweet, not really any complaints beyond the voice audio quality sounding weird but that could've been on my side of things.

I think I'm just bad cause I can't beat the second boss (I don't wanna do the side missions to level up)
