I appreciate the dedication to historical accuracy and telling an interesting story, but I'm going to refrain from rating this one since this game is very, very aggressively not for me.

I simply don't care about medieval european history, and the every animation is way too agonizingly slow to keep my interest in seeing how the different paths you can take work out.

A perfectly fine video game. Played the main game and didn't really feel anything, and then did the Heartland DLC and it was pretty good fun. Sadly it kinda just doesn't have a lot to it and I lost interest pretty quickly after finishing the DLC.

Honestly it's fine.
It's like, pretty rough but I didn't run into any bugs and kinda had fun running around shooting vampires for a while. I really like the player characters. Nothing really stands out about the game but it's fine if you're just tired after work and wanna aimlessly shoot vampires for a little bit. That is if you're getting it via gamepass. Full price? I would wait for a long while.

Some good good sapphic body horror that made me feel many things. No really, if you're into body horror and sapphic love this is a game that you will very much enjoy. Sadly another one of those things I felt was that the unfortunate combination of the king in yellow and Chinese communist imagery is a little bit ??? and left me feeling slightly uncomfortable.

I like Resident Evil and Silent Hill style games a lot even though I do not enjoy playing them. I think if you're into that genre of survival horror, this game has a lot to offer and would be really fun. If you're not, just slap the easiest difficulty on and vibe.

Really really fun JRPG. I love how they translated the combat and world of yakuza into a JRPG format. It all makes sense and is both funny and fun. The story drags a bit sometimes but the overarching plot is the usual Yakuza drama that is interesting to follow along and the characters are pretty good. Game got me to care about them by the end.

It takes on some big things such as homelessness, xenophobia, immigration and the position of sex workers in Japan and while it is sometimes clumsy it was at least fairly interesting in what it had to say. There are some places where it kiiiinda gets weird about Chinese and Korean minorities though.

Oh yeah the music also fucking rips.

It's a Serious Sam game except it has cutscenes and characters and all that. Not much to say, it was pretty fun but I lost steam towards the end because I ran out of shootygame energy.

Again I will preface this by saying that I'm not a huge boomer shooter fan, but this was pretty fun to play! Not much more to say, just a really solid game with solid shooting and music.

Y'know, I actually enjoyed it until the last third. It was a strangely interesting story about a man who just will not fucking let go and his 100% heterosexual friend who there's definitely no feelings towards. There were really interesting moments of the two interacting where they just kinda don't know any other mode of expressing themselves and they don't know how to show emotions except in this specific super masculine way.

And then the last third hit and it goes from like 3.5 stars to like zero.

I don't know, man. I was enjoying it even though I was kinda getting annoyed by the amount of cutscenes, but then the last set of twists came in and made me very very down on the game.

In no explicitly spoilery terms:

I don't know, people being broken until they are able to do really bad things is definitely a thing to explore but once you relate it to state violence it gets really iffy. Also the place that's talked about being eastern european made me feel weird.

Really beautiful game about surviving under capitalism. I do think it falls short of a few of the things it seemed to want to do, and I think it's way too easy to stabilize in the game but honestly by the end I would not have had it any other way. It's got excellent music and excellent art, and the writing and general style of prose is phenomenal.

There was a little bit that mapped onto my own personal experience as a trans immigrant from the third world but only a little. It was nice to explore as a bit of a fantasy of what if things went less mundane ways.

The DLC adds a definitive ending if you don't choose any particular one. It made me super emotional by the end, and I really really really really liked it.

2018

Not the biggest fan of boomer shooters but this one was pretty fun. Second and Third episodes are a bit whatever, but at least visually the levels are super cool. Game's good. If you're into boomer shooters you'll like it.

Kinda bland and unimpressive with a lot of pointless traversal through truly ginormous environments. I cannot stress the traversal enough. There's so much walking in this game and it's just boring and slow. The fast travel system is lackluster and all of that made me just refuse to engage with sidequests or anything.

It's good for mindless point and click but there's kinda just nothing to it. The environments themselves are technically impressive and very dense, but they have no substance. It's all just wallowing in the usual problems of cyberpunk as a genre. Also got some slurs and tries to be edgyyyyy.

Not much there. Had some fun, but then the game asked me to go from literally the top of the arcology to nearly the bottom and that is a like solid 10-15 minute walk and I just went how about no.

A fun little Stardew-like that massively, massively overstayed its welcome and that is sadly plagued by really strange quest design. Game seems to want you to enjoy it openly as well as give you a very strictly guided experience.
The fishing part of the game is pretty chill, and the cooking part made me eventually quit the game.

Enjoyed it for a decent bit, then played it to try to finish it, and eventually just gave up.

Really tragic game. The characters are alright, and the combat is fun to a point, but then you add enemy levels and your levels and having to go through the same relatively small arenas again and again and again. It lost me very quickly.

Solid game, but marred with the same issues that other MachineGames' Wolfenstein games have. There is no auto-pickup and you have to mash E to pick things up. This may seem like a small element but it makes such a difference when you're in tough fights. On the whole though I had a lot of fun with it.
