The main story beats don't hit quite as hard as they did in 7, but by god everything else is transcendent. MASTERPIECE

Honestly, supremely impressed by how much I enjoyed this game. Went in thinking I'd hate the combat after bouncing off Control in a matter of hours, but, I dunno, I found it really satisfying and slow-mo dodging was endlessly fun. Really loved the world and the twists and turns throughout, they also vary up the gameplay enough that it never gets too dull (though I think the pacing of the final 2 episodes could have been a smidge tighter, but I was so excited to see the end so it's understandable).

It could definitely be frustrating at times, but never enough that I didn't want to push through to see the next big set piece or story beat.

BRING ON 2!!

A really well done re-make of one of my favorite games of all time, was such a joy rediscovering why this ranks so highly in the gaming pantheon for me... Kinesis and Stasis are such fun systems that lift this above so many other survival horror games, not to mention how much I love the atmosphere of the Ishimura and still find myself surprisingly engaged by the plot despite this being my 5th time through.

Excellent!

A nice clean rhythm game UI and Final Fantasy OSTs/remixes will get you far in the rhythm game genre it turns out.

Honestly pretty strong throughout with one headscratcher of a reveal that lets the air out of the balloon at the end.

Still, you get a motley crew of villains, one of the most compelling portrayals of a relationship between Joker and Batman, and more good ol Alfred and Selena time.

Hey, this shit still feels really good to play!

2023

Goes where you'd expect but it's all beautifully rendered, though it's almost too brief... but maybe that's part of the point!

Highly recommended.

Hades x Stardew light in a fun little wrapper? I'm all for it!

Very solid, but I wish the enhancements felt more effective and the runs can be REALLY long and some of the late game enemies are just plain un-fun (looking at you bartender with the debuffs), but it never gets old having enemies kill each other or, even better, getting to push them off the map, that's immensely satisfying and makes up for the moments where things can feel like a bit of a slog.

A beautifully adapted version of a great boardgame that is almost totally undone by multiplayer having 5-minute turns by default, just a baffling decision and I'd bump this up greatly if matchmaking had round-time and player count options. Don't even get me started on the fact that the game just drops to AI if one of your opponents drops from the game, which happens frequently... a very frustrating experience overall.

Decent implementation of a fun board game, but if you have any expectations of playing this multiplayer, good luck, completely dead player base, unfortunately.

Excellent Combat and boasts much better writing and VA work than I could have ever expected.

Unfortunately it feels a bit bloated and the strategy layer/deckbuilding mechanics leave a fair amount to be desired, but I can't say that the combat was frequently special and almost as enthralling as Firaxis' masterpiece XCOM2

Easy recommend if you are into tactics games.

I think the main villain is a little undercooked, but this game does great by the main stays (bonus points for actually making the Selina relationship surprisingly sensual for a Telltale game), and Harvey's arc, in particular, devastated me.

One of the better roguelike deckbuilders to come out in Slay the Spire's wake, but as fun as the mechanics are... this game is CHALLENGING, think it could still use a few more passes balance-wise (I could just really suck tho!), but the bones are great. Shelving for now but will check back in after some updates.

Switching lanes, reclaiming minions, and having fare fewer upgrade choices make this pretty unique.
