500 hours in across the switch and pc versions and about a thousand speedrun attempts in and im STILL getting new dialogue. shoutouts to exceptional gay + polyam rep on top of just Being the best most pretty best sounding game ever

extremely glorious characters and story with a world that was excessively immersing to just walk around in and interact; played through this whole game over the course of a summer vacation and that paired w the game's overall vibes was just so magical. i'll remember the various school and city themes throughout the ingame seasons for the rest of my life
but ill also remember how fuckin painful and shitty tartarus was on og hardware with no save states forever too. you can viscerally feel the old-RPG-crunge in that shit which sucks because the process of getting and fusing personas was actually a ton of fun which could only shine in specific stretches of gameplay (most notably in the latter third). that plus a small collection of painful Anime Moments like the bathhouse and shit just kinda dents this otherwise exceptional classic

this is only their first 3d kirby and yet its so polished and perfect that feels like its the tenth one, and then you remember this is actually technically their tenth try at making a 3d kirby cause they only make games if they know theyll be good

needed more endgame classes (the dlc helped with this) and like 6 more chapters on each path (especially in black eagles). lack of endgame classes undermines the excessively dope class/teaching system cause all mages are pidgeonholed into gremory or the mounted classes which have few mounted options leading up to it, but besides that this games fucks imo. it has mercedes so how bad can it really be
