It has aged a lot, but I still think that it tells an amazing story with unique, if simple combat mechanics. Can't wait for the sequel.

Great setup for The Phantom Pain, but won't make much sense for those who have not played Peace Walker. Also, the game is kind of lacking in content especially for it's base price of $20.

Story is shit, but I don't really care about that all too much because this is Sly Cooper gameplay at it's finest.

Instead of reviewing the collection, here's my thoughts on the individual games:

Sly Cooper and the Thevius Raccoonus: Pretty fun 3D platformer. Stealth is a lot more downplayed compared to any other Sly game, but it has fun levels and memorable characters.

Sly 2: Band of Thieve: Controversial opinion: this is probably my least favorite of the Sly Cooper franchise. This game is still really good, but I personally don't think it's quite as good as the others.

Sly 3: My favorite game in the series. Best story and best characters, but it is a little disappointing that they got rid of clue bottles and replaced them with the forgettable challenges.

Overall: The Sly Cooper franchise is probably my favorite series of 3D platformers and it sparked my love of stealth games too.

The best movie I've ever played. In all seriousness, I think MGS4 is an amazing if very flawed conclusion to the Metal Gear saga especially considering that Kojima was basically forced to make this. The fact that he literally portrays his frustrations with what happens when things, or more specifically media, go on for too long through Old Snake is pure genius at it's finest. Not only is it an amazing conclusion to an amazing series, but it's also an ingenious commentary on the state of both the gaming and Hollywood industries.

My personal favorite game in the Metal Gear series. The gameplay itself improves and expands upon everything that made the original so good in the first place. The amount of small details and easter eggs also puts a lot of games that are released today to shame. But it's the story, themes, and twists that ultimately make this one of the best games ever made that still gets talked about to this day.

A little clunky by modern standards especially in the controls department, but this game is still undeniably a masterpiece even when put up against games made today.

Is it flawed and arguably unfinished? Yes, but that doesn't stop it from being a masterpiece and the best stealth game ever made.

This is probably the best "open-world" game ever. The main game itself is an incredibly fun brawler with different styles and skill trees for all of them. The story is also incredibly engaging with amazingly well-written characters and emotional moments. But it is the side minigames and substories that really make this the complete package that it is. I 100% recommend this to everyone especially considering how at most it costs only 20 dollars.

This was the game that made me realize that games are an art form.

I've never been more disappointed by a game. The gameplay and presentation are masterful, but the story feels rushed, improperly paced, and extremely unsatisfying in my personal opinion.
