Pop Quiz! Games That Punish You For Not Paying Attention To The Writing

This is a list of games that sit down and quiz you and have active negative repercussions on the player if they're caught lacking.
Better be actually reading the dialogue! This is also a sort of inherently spoilerly list, so if you care about getting hit with these pop quizzes with no context, be careful.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
This is the explicit gameplay of Ace Attorney: if you fail to answer the logic questions about the case correctly, you lose the game.
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
Same thing as Ace Attorney with more gimmicks.
Persona 3
Persona 3
Stand in for the tests that every Persona game has following this entry. The game gives you the answers to a handful of questions and expects you to memorize them over an extended period of time.
Persona 4
Persona 4
In addition to the tests that every Persona game has, Persona 4 requires you, the player, the pinpoint exactly who the culprit of the murders are.
Persona 5
Persona 5
And in Persona 5, you have to answer a series of questions correctly during the mid-game based on events you saw prior or you will achieve a bad ending.
Wonder Boy in Monster World
Wonder Boy in Monster World
"Wonderboy in Monster World also has a Sphinx boss to beat you need to answer questions about the game similar to it's sequel." - FallenGrace
Monster World IV

The final area in this game features various questions about the game world (including some you need to go out of your way to find) that you must get correct to proceed.
Banjo-Tooie
Banjo-Tooie
More or less the same as Kazooie.
Pocket Mirror: GoldenerTraum
Pocket Mirror: GoldenerTraum
This game does this a lot.
An example: Near the end of the game, where you are shown a couple of passages of poetry. You need to select the correct emotion they evoke (joy, grief, rage, etc.) If you don't, you die.
Little Goody Two Shoes
Little Goody Two Shoes
In the late game, you are asked a series of questions about your chosen love interest and the game kills you if you misrepresent their emotions.
VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action
VA-11 Hall-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action
If you fail to pay for what Jill has on her mind that week, her internal monologue repeating the customer's order to herself will be replaced with her being distracted by thoughts of whatever you didn't buy.

Additionally, there are multiple character-specific endings in this game that can only be achieved by giving someone a drink that isn't what they asked for but is what they want, which you can only tell by paying close attention to their dialogue.
You and Me and Her: A Love Story
You and Me and Her: A Love Story

u can't look up the answers because the events are randomized on playthroughs" - matsu_

Fading Afternoon
Fading Afternoon
"All of Yeo's games do this, like The Friends of Ringo Ishikawa and especially Fading Afternoon. Characters will mention key information about what to do and there is no transcript or second chance or anything, if you failed to follow instructions in FA youll just have to deal with it (usually by having to cut off your finger because Yakuza)" - LordDarias
The friends of Ringo Ishikawa
The friends of Ringo Ishikawa

moschidae
Sonic Shuffle
Sonic Shuffle
"Sonic Shuffle has this. One of the event minigames will quiz you on how many rings you have, spaces landed on, Precious Stones, etc." - Weatherby
Mario Party 3
Mario Party 3
Mario Party 3, similarly to Sonic Shuffle, has a minigame called "M.P.I.Q" that may ask you questions related to how many Stars somebody has or what the current record of a minigame is.

It's a little dicey to call it "writing", but it fits the spirit of the list.

It felt like there were times where I was punished for reading to writing in Ace Attorney too well. L
Where I already could guess where it was goinf but I'd present something too early. 💀

I have to say this is driving me a little bonkers because I distinctly remember a game doing exactly this, very recently, and I cannot remember which one it was. I keep refreshing this list hoping it'll show up hahaha.

@Razll This one sounds like by the far the funniest example of this in the list the way you described it. Those are the words of someone who got the question wrong and had to read a novel twice.
