Sections/Aspects of games that others hate but I like

I was the first person to come up with this idea for a list and maybe if HunterMask, NOWITSREYNTIME17 and NovaNiles were more original than me they would've come up with the idea first (they did, this is sarcasm, please check out their lists as well).

Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 2
The Sewers- I really didn't find this section all that bad, it's just more standard Resident Evil goodness with the disadvantageous position of following up one of the greatest areas in the series (the Police Station).
LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
The Vehicle Levels- I always see a lot of hate thrown at these levels and frankly I just don't get it, they're really short and a great way to farm studs quickly, the minikits are also typically really easy to get in these.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
World Of Light- World of Light is really fun actually, I love seeing all the clever little references in the spirit battles and it's a much better way to unlock all the characters than playing the game naturally for hours. I also really like doing challenge runs in it every once in a while, like using no spirits or doing a nuzlocke with the fighters.
Luigi's Mansion 3
Luigi's Mansion 3
The Boiler Room- I found this floor to be one of the most fun in the game personally, the puzzles with the water floats and having to work around Gooigi who can't touch water were really fun, and the Toad escort mission once you drain the water wasn't all that bad either.
Sonic Colors
Sonic Colors
Aquarium Park- This is easily the best area in the game for me, the music is great and the atmosphere is soothing and calm. People just dislike it because of the underwater sections but they really aren't as prevalent or intrusive as you'd think.
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Mario Sunshine
The Pachinko Machine- This shit is mad easy, I beat it first or second attempt every time I replay this game.
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Wario Colosseum- A lot of people complain that this course is long and boring and I just do not find that to be the case. The course is two laps to prevent it from feeling long and the layout with all it's twists and sudden drops feels like a rollercoaster, really hope they remake this course in the next Mario Kart game.
Mario Party 8
Mario Party 8
Just all the boards in general- A lot of people would say that Koopa's Tycoon Town is the only worthwhile board in this game and while that is the best one here, the other boards aren't half that bad either. Each of them have different ways to obtain stars instead of just going to the spot on the board where the star is and I think that they don't get enough credit for how original they are.
Pokémon Black Version
Pokémon Black Version
The Gen 5 Pokemon design- I think it was easy for people to hate Gen 5 Pokémon designs because they were the only Pokemon in the region in these first set of Unova games and you were forced to use completely new mons rather than seeing all your old favorites. Overall, there are some forgettable Pokemon designs here but not a lot I'd call outright bad, the Trubbish and Vannilite lines specifically get too much hate for being based on inanimate objects and being proof that the series was "running out of ideas", as if there weren't Gen 1 Pokémon that were literally just sentient Pokeballs and seals.
Cuphead
Cuphead
Grim Matchstick (the Dragon fight)- I see a lot of people complain about how hard this boss specifically is and I just think "yeah that's the point right?". It shouldn't be easy to beat a dragon, and the patterns here while frustratingly hard are still fair and have tells to watch out for like any other fight in the game.
The Last of Us Part II: Remastered
The Last of Us Part II: Remastered
The Abby Section- This is an extremely spicy take, but I enjoyed this section of the game more than the Ellie one. The game really gets you to sympathize with Abby's character with and her story of helping the Scar kids and trying to find the regrouping Fireflies is engaging and interesting. The horror elements here are also more prevalent and the set pieces are bigger and more interesting than in Ellie's section.
Resident Evil Village
Resident Evil Village
The Endgame Action segments- Towards the end of the game there are a lot of action segments that I've seen a lot of people complain feels more like a first person shooter than a Resident Evil game, but personally I've always found these kind of fun if I'm being honest. By the end of the game you have a really large arsenal of weapons and it feels really badass to go into the village or the werewolves nest and tear things up, and there's still the series patented limited ammo to worry about so you still have to be deliberate in these sections, making them even more stressful and engaging than most shooters.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
The Divine Beasts- Yes they aren't anything like the series traditional dungeons, and yes they share the same aesthetic and structure but idk I still found these pretty fun. There are some pretty fun puzzle elements in these and I think they fit better into an open world Zelda game than traditional dungeons would, so I don't mind them.

I personally enjoyed World of Light, its no Subspace but it was a decent enough substitute to keep me satisfied. Kinda wish we got trophies back instead but its understandable as to why they didn't return.

Grim is overhated. You can get some bullshit patterns in the first phase occasionally, but overall I don't think he is as hard as people make him out to be.

Wario Colosseum is genuinely my favorite track in the entire series and I have been begging to see it come back for so long; had no idea people didn't like it lol

Aquarium park - great vibe and great music, just not as iconic as the rest

The Pachinko machine isn't too bad just unreliable. Most of the time it just takes a few attempts and going back to redo it is very easy. The lily pad level can go to hell though.
Totally agree about Abby's section in TLOU2, it had more highlights than Ellie's section.

A fellow Abby's story enjoyer, i see.

The problem with Matchstick isn't that he's hard, it's that his fight can be thrown by a platform spawning too far away, it requires too much uncertainty. Most of the other bosses in the game only go as far as to have an assortment of phases but you can learn each one. For Matchstick you just have to learn to hope you don't get fucked by the platform. I don't hate Grim, I just think he's a mediocre boss fight in an otherwise excellent game.

Finally, Abby's story gets vindicated.

Finally someone who like World of Light.
Abby's section is so much better than Ellie's, it would be hated way less if it were a separate game and didn't have to follow the overly repetitive and much too long Ellie section.
I love the ending of RE8, the whole game has a very dumb monster movie type vibe. Ending the game with a mass enemy murdering power fantasy to compensate for being weak most of the game is tradition for the franchise. The way they give you orbital lasers and a machine gun with tons of ammo this time is even better.

Agree on Aquarium Park. Probably my favorite part of the game.

The Chris section in village is a good contrast between Ethan's gameplay, you've been getting your ass kicked for hours and now you get 20 minutes to go off on this village like you're a big trenchcoat wearing Helldiver calling in orbital strikes.
Abby's section is great and it's nice how distinctly different they make playing as her feel; different assortment of weapons, no infinite use knife so returning to single use shivs, upgrades turning her into a chain killing machine.
