i have 99 minutes logged on this in my steam library but i do not remember anything about it

i had a lot of fun playing this and felt like such a pro leaping across buildings. not sure why i suddenly dropped it and never picked it back up tho

i am so bad at these social deduction games i'm a terrible liar

not sure how i feel about this one. hard to judge the very first expansion pack that came out nearly 10 years ago. like, the game is just sooo different now!

the active careers are fun i guess (and sadly we never got any others that were quite like it) but honestly repetitive as shit to me. i only ever really play the doctor one because i like the hospital lot. but it is really annoying having to follow your sim to work every single day to progress their career. forget it if you have other sims you wanna do stuff with!

the retail stuff is a good inclusion but i find it mostly annoying to play with. i think it's because you basically have to put a small living quarters in the back of the store to make it worthwhile. otherwise you're just sitting through too many loading screens going back and forth between home and your store. i actually have a mod that makes any residential lot a retail store and it's SO much better. the mod also makes it so you have to actually restock stuff like perishables and craftables (cakes and paintings for example) instead of clicking the sign that pops up, so it feels more challenging and realistic. i'm basically saying the retail stuff is a good idea but the execution of the gameplay missed so hard i need mods to make it enjoyable.

i often forget aliens come with this pack. they seem so standard to me in a sims game. i love playing with aliens and i love the customisation of them in the sims 4. you can make them blue or green or purple with all kinds of eyes and ears, you can basically make different 'species' of alien which has never been seen before in a sims game.

2000

nothing will ever feel the way habbo hotel felt :(

in all seriousness tho you had to spend a lot of real money to make this really good

2003

simple and fun albeit a bit repetitive after a while. a perfectly cromulent time-waster

i was enjoying this (even though my hands were getting sore with the clunky controls) but then my tab accidentally got closed and i was too far in to start again because it was a pretty slow burn. so, sad i never got to finish this but i did like what i got to read. the graphics were very effective

dunno why this was on coolmathgames but i am glad it was, it entertained me at school

kinda frustrating depending on the country of the day

2008

games like this are the reason me and my peers learned nothing at school

got to play this with my brother-in-law who is a fellow Gamer and HOLY SHIT we had a great time finishing the story and then playing with the minigames. it's kind of a shame that you have to play the full story to unlock those minigames, but i kinda understand it, i guess so you can learn the mechanics of each character. that doesn't really help newbies though

played this with my brother and had a lot of fun. it wasn't too hard which was great bc i suck at games.

i loved this pack a lot as a kid! not only did it add pets, but also farming with harvestables that you can sell for decent profit.

i can't imagine the sims 1 without old town, tbh. lots of the pre-made community lots are pretty boring though (like, who ever visits the pool hall?) but there is a LOT of room for building your own things.

pets are okay i guess! i think i judge it so differently after playing with pets in sims 3 and 4. in this one, there's only a dozen or so skins for pets and you have pretty much no control over customisation other than that, except for a dozen different coloured collars. the options for small pets like turtles and iguanas is cool, but again, they don't do much.

i also have no idea how to win the pet show contests without cheating lol

i used to have my sims pretty much live on vacation when i was a kid. i just wanted to collect all the souvenirs through the carnival games.

upon revisiting as an adult i realise there's actually not that much to do, especially in the forest area (which i rarely even visited as a kid). i'll still give it four stars though, for the childhood mmrs, and the hot tub you could "play" in which absolutely kept me FED as a pre-teen.
