Snappy platforming and fun conbat let down by a complicated and predictable story, with dry voice acting.
Great metroidvania with lovely visuals and design, but ultimately, nothing special.

2022

Fantastic; just one more click, and 3 hours later...

Docked a point for it being far too similar to MS1

Beloved London recreated in gorgeous detail
Clever concept of being able to play as any NPC, but falls short with a few of its functions
Awful driving mechanics, resorted to getting the tube everywhere
(Hey, just like RL London!?)

Main critique - INCLUDE A GOD-DAMNED CHANGE TIME OF DAY MECHANIC UBISOFT!

Generic FPS RPG affair after the cataclysmically awkward debacle that was its launch

Overly complex skills system
Loot HELL

NOT as bad as people make out, but certainly not great either
Tuned out by the end of the main story

REPETITIVE and weak core game loop

Stunning city to play in, just so much squandered potential
Repetitive, dull story, weak characters.

NOT an AC game by any stretch, but fantastic as a pirate simulator

Story - way too long
Things to do - streamlined

Despite being set in the UK, with a chunk of the story being set in my home city of Lincoln, I have to confess this game was a slog, and it took several attempts to finish it
