Would be the number one platformer I’d suggest to anyone new to the genre.

2018

Charmingly creative, extremely fun and replayable - art direction, gameplay and storytelling all intertwine masterfully.

Suffers from some of the same issues of other big open-world games with a tedious amount of collectibles and repetition. Weapon durability was no fun for no reason.

Really wanted to love this one, and I did like the story, worldbuilding and characters a lot but found that the game overstayed it's welcome with chaff side-quests, big-maps / little content and very repetitive gameplay.

Things I think could have really improved the game:
-A real loot system
-More interesting interactivity in quests (not just fetch material or fight particular enemies)
-More challenging / complex battle system that didn't devolve to just spamming interlink
-Variety in boss fights, they were so repetitive and unmemorable after the first
