A very refreshing shakeup to the usual Pokemon formula and big step forward for the series as a whole. If Game Freak doesn't use the gameplay and mechanics introduced in this game as a template for future gens then I'm gonna scream until my head explodes.

I had the biggest, stupidest smile on my face during the first boss fight. I have a few minor gripes but it's easily the best 3D Sonic game since Generations. Looking forward to the DLC and whatever comes next.

Had very little expectations going into this but I ended up loving almost every minute of it. Combat is fine but the story and characterization of the Guardians was excellent. Also thanks to the Huddle mechanic I managed to get Holding Out For a Hero to play during one of the final bosses, that was neat.

Leading up to playing this, I was skeptical and worried about making the change from a brawler to turn-based RPG. But I'm happy to say that those fears weren't realized, and for their first attempt at an RPG, RGG Studio knocked it out of the fucking park.

The combat and battles are well paced. The job system was pretty versatile with the skills characters could use, such as making Nanba a jack of all trades by getting him multiple types of magic moves.

Ichiban is an immediately likeable protagonist; not my analogy but Ichiban feels a lot like Josuke to Kiryu's Jotaro. Every other character introduced in this game was excellent as well. Looking forward to wherever RGG takes their story next.

I've only played one match of this game and it was the most miserable experience of my life.

Probably my second favorite plot in the series behind 2, with great substories and other side content, and a solid end to Kiryu's story.

Plot-wise, this one's fucking wild. Yakuza 4 already had a big interconnected plot, but now how about with 5 characters? In 4 different cities? With a great wealth of side content for each character?

My only complaints are that it is way too fucking long, Shinada's fighting style sucks ass and Haruka's story drags on too long.

Really big fan of how interconnected everyone's stories are (I guess this one technically did it first). All of the new characters instantly grew on me, and if I have any complaints it's that the final boss is a complete shitter who slides and dodges just as much as enemies in Yakuza 3.

Also RGG please bring back Tanimura I miss him.

The combat is absolutely not fun, you can probably skip this one considering that the only plot points retained from this are that Kiryu runs an orphanage and survives a stab wound at the end.

Holy shit the Dragon Engine is fucking incredible. This is my favorite in the series thanks to its plot, substories, and combat.

The plot is just as strong as Zero but some of the substories kinda fall flat, Majima everywhere is pretty annoying, and leveling up the fighting styles is slow as hell.

I went into this series completely blind and only got into it because my favorite streamer is a fan of the series. I was not prepared for how compelling and interconnected Kiryu and Majima's stories are, along with the metric fuck-ton of side content. I was hooked throughout my entire playthrough, and as soon as I finished this I immediately bought the rest of the series.

You can ride with a squad of five marines all carrying homing rocket launchers, so that's neat.

Definitely 343's best campaign, but by the end it kind of feels unfinished.

Definitely the best of the original trilogy, has some big improvements over 1 and 2 in terms of combat, mechanics and plot.

Jank as hell controls and the story is barely there but still an okay time.
