loved a lot of it. this game is built on interacting with the side content and if that's not your thing, you're gonna find yourself struggling to progress after a certain point. but at the same time, there's a LOT of side content to get through and if you're someone like me who likes to do all the side content they can uncover, you might experience some burnout. this was my favorite part of the game but also my biggest pet peeve. the side content is written well and shows off characters in many different lights, but there didn't need to be that much side content.

but yea besides that, wonderful game.

had a good time. beat it in one run on normal, no deaths.
should add i never played the original. lv5 can suck one and lv6 can suck a fatter one. would recommend on sale

pretty good game. cool to see a large scale roguelike project like this. unfortunately i don't see myself playing more of this

metroid has never been this good or this exciting. don't leave us mercury steam

adorable game with lots of character, good gameplay, and more references than you can count. big nod to sony over the years and so many franchises i love that sony apparently hasn't forgotten. looking at you patapon

they just don't miss. no i don't know what size matters is

played on ps4. outstanding +

had a great time revisiting colors. still a fantastic game through and through. didn't mind the bugs people complained about as i hardly noticed them and never had anything game breaking like crashes or levels glitching in odd ways

story could use some work but strong showing from the main cast, gameplay's great and provides good challenge, game looks and runs amazing. show me more of what you can bring to this series tomizawa. also shionne mains rise up

good game, good gaming. levels had a surprising amount of variety and challenge for all skill levels. has a great deal of charm, ost's great, and the lack of lives means you can try segments as many times as you need to figure them out. would definitely suggest for people that enjoy platformers

Free platinum. That's what it gets half a star for.

Game won't stop flashing lights all over the place, mechanics are constantly introduced and thrown away that get in the way of me trying to enjoy what seems like a rhythm game that can't decide how it wants to handle, and the music style isn't bad but not really my thing. Mind you I only played half the game, but in that time span I had less and less fun with each level and my interest was already dwindling from the first level. If you want a unique flashy experience with hidden meaning that's a bitch to dig out, this is probably for you. Sure as hell isn't for me.

Game's awful.

Things that suck:
- gameplay: poorly designed third person shooter. the second you perform the game's actions in the tutorial you can feel the clunk a mile away.
- level design: padded out to hell and back with collectibles that no one tells you are the key to unlocking literally everything from defense to weapons to passives. stages are too long, enemies respawn fairly fast and endlessly in most stages, no way to look at the entirety of the stage's map so i hope you memorize everything as you go.

Things that were nice (to me ofc):
- characters: very archetypical cast. as you progress however, you'll find that the game doesn't forget where it takes place. each character has their own screwed up reasons for being here and it adds feeling to what they do and why they do it
- story: surprisingly interesting. if the game wasn't so padded to hell with meaningless levels and teasing encounters that don't amount to much, maybe i could say more for it. the concept is interesting, the twists stand out, and the endings offer some small semblance of replayability.
- npc's (?): not sure what else to call them normally, but the girls you're either saving or relieving in each level. this isn't entirely a positive as a couple levels flop this entirely, but the idea that you're saving girls from the brink of going to hell or bringing peace to those that have already died is a cool idea. this, however, can range from a girl waging radical war against trees due to allergies to a girl who killed herself due to her constant hunger for attention and praise leading her to developing a compulsive lying habit that never truly filled that void, leading her to kill herself. if i were to gauge them, i would say 30% of the stories in these levels are throwaway stuff that doesn't mean anything to anyone. the other 70% can be predictable with some degree of relatability to fairly complex. really makes you wonder why that amount of detail didn't go into the rest of the game
