Yeah. It was aight. Interesting themes in here, but the twists didn't really blow my mind or anything. Also the gameplay was kinda too easy, even playing on the hardest difficulty and the story was kinda weirdly paced. I did enjoy it though nonetheless

I enjoyed writing naughty words on the fences and spending a couple hours using this as mindless backseat gameplay whilst debating with friends in a party chat over 'If a massive gorilla was going to molest you and you had 30 minutes to survive in the school where would you hide?', but I don't think I'm ever going to play this again

I'm finding it genuinely hard to find any flaws with this game. Story, level design or otherwise. A fluid experience the whole way through.

If City was a minor step up from Asylum, then Knight is an insane step up from City. Everything here feels refined, including the batmobile, which I see way too many people hating on. It's a good fucking addition and it's not even used THAT much so I don't get why people complain about it.

This game is also 8 years old and looks better than any other games coming out today. It literally looks better than the Spiderman 2 game on PS5, and plays much better too but won't get into that now.

Story is excellent, I do not care what anyone says. If people are getting mad about how obvious the twist is with Jason being the Arkham Knight, I say to you that... although you are correct, that isn't even the biggest part of the story. Because I think as a whole it's best to play Arkham Knight with all the side missions INCLUDING the season of infamy dlc. Of course if you're just going to go from scarecrow mission to milita predator mission to another scarecrow mission it's going to get boring. But throw in some riddler missions, penguin gun hideouts and finally, FINALLY some good content with two-face in this series and you will see one of the most well-rounded batman stories ever told, and there will never be a loss of anything to do. So much variety in the missions stops them from becoming boring and the story greatly benefits. Deathstroke coming in after the knight's identity is revealed is something most players will literally miss on their first time playing. It's unfortunate that some people won't understand the fluidity of the game, and thus won't get the full experience out of it. Let's run through what could've been an even better addition to a great story though; utilising the characters in different ways. I'll say this right now, Killer Croc should not have been dlc. They should have used him in the subplot with Simon Stagg and his experimentation on animals. Instead, the Beaneath the Surface missions should have used Bane instead. It would fit just as well but we'd have some more character variety which wouldn't hurt. Also it's very obvious that a Victor Zsasz mission was cut, so I wish we could have seen that too. All in all, another season of infamy type thing would have been great, maybe with some other villains mentioned in the previous games that we never got to see or interact with. Maxie Zeus, Prometheus, Calendar-Man, even Killer Moth, Ratcatcher and most definitely Clayface - because we know he didn't die in City, I would have though the pit made him immortal if anything.

I promised myself that I wouldn't review this until I completed all the story packs with Nightwing, Robin etc. but I've realised that you can just review them seperately on this app so I'll do that instead.

What away to end the series though. Every character given a great send-off. And the knightfall protocol, with Batman using the fear toxin to keep his legacy in Gotham city? Jesus I love this series. I love this game. I love batman.

An improvement over the first game? Yeah
A MASSIVE improvement over the first game? Not really...

The glazing I see of this game's story is immense. It's good sure but it's really not THAT good. Joker plot twist really wasn't as genius as I think some people thought it was. The Ra's Al Ghul stuff was kind of cool I guess, and the reveal with The League and Hugo Strange working together was actually really good. However, Ra's dies not a minute later, and Talia a minute after that, so it didn't really come down to a big finale. Also, that ending was rather abrupt? I was bit confused wondering if I finished the game yet.

The open world is pretty cool, but it suffers from the same lack of motivation that Asylum did. That being there are few incentives to go back through each room and explore. Apart from... the side missions! Lacking from City's predecessor, side missions here range from really cool and really lame. Interesting villains such as Bane, Deadshot, or even Zsasz have been reduced to fetch quests and cutscenes. The tasks mostly being boring and repetitive until you finally catch the villain, or watch as a cinematic plays out, unable for you to participate at all. If you want to put a bunch of awful side content in your game go ahead, but if you use my guy Bane to do so then that's just criminal. However, someone they 100% definitely used well? Edward Nygma. This guy was on smoke the entire game. Apart from being the walking nerd emoji, riddler is at his highest point I've ever seen from his character here. His side missions and the one with Mad Hatter are literally the only ones worth playing here. And when you have an honestly pretty bad story where you feel like you're on some sort of wild goose chase, the side missions should propel the game where the main quests did not. But alas, the wasted potential here is crazy.

The combat though? And the level/environment design? Top fucking notch. Why I'm on some sort of floating ice cube underground tryna avoid a shark? Idfk, but it is damn cool. Character designs as well stay true to the comics with their own twisted style which I really like. The boss fights are a MASSIVE improvement from Asylum. I know it's not really saying much but wow, these ones are really good. Mr Freeze was fucking cool man, and Al Ghul as a massive sand monster? Uh... clean-up aisle, my pants!

But what have they done to Two-Face??!! Oh my god he is fucking terrible here, despite being probably one of Batman's most interesting rogues. He's a government official-turned supervillain, so you think he'd have a much bigger part ina story, about a society RUN by supervillains? But no, he's mostly a punching for Catwoman and other playable characters.

Which brings me to the best addition in Arkham City. I didn't even know it was needed, but additional characters you can play as was such an interesting and great idea. When Robin showed up in the story I was hyped. And playing as him in the DLC? Oh boy I was creamin. Catwoman was great as well. All the different gadgets for each character adds a new layer of depth. And nightwing? Oh my lord. Such good characters, my only qualm being that you can't free roam with my boys Dick and Tim.

Great changes here, but overall. Some things still weigh it down HEAVILY. I'd love to give it more but maybe add a batmobile and we'll talk.

Really makes you feel like batman

I'm crying of laughter I thought this was fake

A genuine crime against humanity 😭

Why have I never played this before???

'You eat babies!'
'I'm going to wander down that lonely, deserted street and get my bag.'
'I don't like Jews. Or colored folk. Or natives, now that you mention it... I bet you like Catholics. Can't stand them neither. Nor women, Fabians, Socialists, homosexuals, Asians, or British.'

Absolute banger, but I should've played during halloween for better atmosphere. Wishing for Undead Nightmare 2 but it's never going to happen. Just like the GTA V DLC we were promised. Now we just have to pray that Rockstar find it in their hearts to give us disgusting masses some GTA VI Story DLC.

They're not lying when they say that this shit is 'Powering Imagination'

I have like 10 different accounts on Roblox, my oldest one I made when I was like 8 all the way back in early 2016. Spent a ridiculous amount of money on it and I'd like to say it was worth it but it well and truly wasn't. Had some insane fun on this when I was in primary though. Great games including the best Pokemon game of all time Pokemon Brick Bronze. I do remember, however, that the game suffered from a lot of community issues such as demographic problems with an unexpected amount of predators AND of unskilled creators who flooded the site with awful games and made it hard to find anything worthwhile.

A whopping 7 and a half years later and Roblox gets released on PS4. Okay, not many fun multiplayer games on the market rn so I'll get some friends and we can mess around see what it's like to experience again. Made multiple different accounts because the game kept logging me out for no reason and I forgot every single password but whatever. The game is fun. Almost too fun honestly. Admittedly plagued with some port problems (most games think you're playing on xbox, makes you wonder why it took so long to get on PS in the first place) I'm beginning to find more and more games that are actually fun to play. It seems Roblox is getting better and filtering out the ass and showing their users some actual good games. A lot of these games play like paid experiences. I'll name a select few off the top of my head that are fun to fuck around in with friends:

Steep Steps
Sno Day
Doors
Flee the Facility
Altitorture
Murder Mystery
Arsenal
Piggy
Build A Boat For Treasure

The list goes on and I'm sure you can find better stuff but in so many of these I was in actual hysterics. Depends if you have funny friends or not ig 😭

All in all, the biggest problem with Roblox is it's community. They need to start focusing on further filtering of the platform and getting rid of all the copy-paste bullshit obbies and terrible games. Updating roblox studio and making good game easier to make would be a good start, because relying on your community of mostly 7-year-olds to keep your game afloat is an extremely risky business model. Whatever though, they definitely aren't bankrupting now. But if they want to keep people playing, encourage your players to make better stuff. Idk how, but it will be beneficial to all.

Had to replay the best rockstar game because gta vi trailer has been officially announced

holy hell this is so badass

PC Port when?

I'm wondering if this game can still be saved in current day. The new og map has returned but still is limited by additions from later seasons that remain. For example, sprinting and mantling. They feel out of place and awkward for the nostalgia binge everybody is smoking on. But you cannot remove these things because otherwise no build would be impossible to play. And you cannot remove no build because that's what encourages loads of players to re-download in the first place. Build mode has too high of a skill ceiling for many to compete, and don't bring up the argument of skill-based matchmaking because I'm convinced it isn't even real at this point. So the solution, hear me out...

LOW build mode. I don't know about today but back in 2017 or so there were many different presets under settings to choose from. One of these settings was called Combat Pro. Now this was basically the same as regular, but when building, each structure is assigned to the same button, and you had to scroll between each structure to place what you wanted. It operated practically the same way as shooting, but with builds. Turbo building was impossible, and there was building but it was extremely limited and bare boned. This could be the perfect mix. A way to encourage creativity without restricting it to the meta. A way to bring back players unhappy and cynical with the return of the og map.

EPIC. Remove all your bullshit. All your grapples gloves, mantling sprinting whatever. And slap that in there. Watch the player base, hypothetically, rise. That is just my theory. Not on some matpat type shit but it could work.

At this point just hire me. I can fix this game. I am incredible and wise and can make quick spur-of-the-moment decisions that will always secure a profit.

Okay, Ghoul Trooper, you go left. Skull Trooper, you go right. And Nog Ops, well... just be Nog Ops! Okay let's go WE ARE FORTNITE!

THE MOST UNINTENTIONALLY AND UNEASILY SCARY ROCKSTAR GAME YET? - Spoiler for last mission included!!

Pretty damn decent. Pretty good story, I actually like the realistic and no-bullshit changes to driving, shooting and weaponry. But pretty awkward in the way that missions end, as in something crazy will happen and then nothing will really change and will never be mentioned again.

This isn't a big problem in other GTA games but the story is meant to be taken seriously so I have to point this out. The ludonarrative dissonance that you feel when playing gta iv is actually appalling. As in it makes you feel really fucking awkward when something sad happens and then the life just keeps trucking on. When SPOILER ALERT: Kate died, I wasn't even sad because 1, I didn't even like her. 2, I didn't think she was a big deal to the plot and because 3, the mission ended two seconds later and Niko was back in his flat acting the exact same as usual. It was so so so weird, so unusual in fact that it gives me a sort of uncanny valley feeling I can't describe. Maybe I'm tweaking but that was such a big staple of my experience with IV that I have to mark it down for that alone.

And the thing is, they clearly corrected this just 2 years later with rdr1, but I couldn't even tell you how. Like there's no specific reason why or how it was fixed it just doesn't seem as awkward and strange as before. Weird. Maybe it's because liberty city kind of looks like a liminal space in its design, but idk. Lmk if anyone had the same sort of problem. Might play it again and see if I feel the same way,

Some of the best adaptations of Batman's villains here. In particular Scarecrow, Killer Croc, Harley and Ivy. The gothic art decor of each level make the game seem more horror than anything else. But, using each platform or gargoyle to pick off the goons one-by-one and YOU become what is feared in the Asylum. It gives a feeling of power and produces a big skill curve for you to master. Each blow to a thug's face or sneaking up behind a sniper to choke him out, even the all out brawls can be tackled in different ways however you see fit. And although it's true that some levels do force you into a certain playstyle, this just encourages the player to experience every polished gameplay mechanic on offer. Gliding, stealth, using gadgets, exploration, detective mode and the combat. All refined and feel great to use.

The story is very good. Great way to introduce new players unfamiliar with the Dark Knight and his rogues, or even for Bat veterans to experience his first half-decent appearance on their home consoles. Chasing Joker throughout the Asylum as he unleashes villain after villain out of their cells is a fun and tense experience. I was having fun guessing who would appear next and imagining the role that they would play in the plot. I didn't notice at the beginning but the game is practically a metroidvania, with incentives to go back through each wing and experience exclusive secrets that were previously withheld from the player. Great idea to make the map seem larger than it actually is. And it IS large in its own right. The secret areas where you can find riddles and complete the Spirit of Arkham quests are always interesting and elusive, and each room, wing or cell has a layer of polish and detail that, from what I can tell, wasn't just added for this remaster. Even back in 2009, this was a level or refinement rarely topped by the best gaming studios out there. It just makes you appreciate what Rocksteady gave us with Arkham Asylum, and I'm especially excited to be playing City next. (Although I can't for the life of me imagine what they can improve on, all I'm guessing is more characters, enemy types, maybe a more open world?)

Anyway, play Arkham Asylum. I don't have a PS5, so instead of playing the new Spider-Man, I bought the Return to Arkham bundle for an incredible 90% off at like £8 or something. What started off as a massive cope because I couldn't play Spider-Man 2, turns out I got the better deal. Because what I'm seeing of the new adventures of Peter and Miles.... well... I think I'm better off to say the least.

Only thing that I had an issue with was probably the fact that the game offers no real instructions of how to use certain items. Sometimes you'll be stuck in small a room for an unnecessary amount of time because turns out you had to use an Ultra Batclaw + Cryptographer + Batarang + Triple-Tiger-Sache move that I didn't even know existed. Also, the bossfights were a little repetitive. Scarecrow was pretty cool but repeating it 3 times or so was kinda boring. Killer Croc was too easy, Poison Ivy was too repetitive and the final Joker fight was genuinely pathetic. Like not to be picking things apart but oh my God I didn't lose a shred of health in that entire battle.

Still a MUST PLAY!!!!

Best gta game- great blend of 3D era madness with decent gameplay, a fun to explore world, and a surprisingly great story. Really really fun

Malicious game, difficult grinding with impossible boss fights and annoyingly perfect game design - the only reason this game exists is to make you waste all your time rather than doing anything productive in the real world. So be warned

You MAY lose all your friends because SOMEBODY took all the best loot out of the unorganised communal storage area

You MAY look up what to do next on the terraria wiki because you're all too stupid and have been unable to progress for the last 8 hours so you built a massive fuck-off building you will never use

You MAY partake in boss fights so severely and unknowingly unprepared that it will result in years of intensive treatment down the line

And you MAY just realise, halfway through a pirate invasion, or an exploration through the dungeon, that this is the best survival game of all time.

The only bad thing about terraria is that it ends.

A 'gta clone' so good that it surpassed anything rockstar has even attempted to do with grand theft auto. Great map, great non linear gameplay with a good mix of puzzle elements that blend naturally together with the world. Decent multiplayer (again, better than any multiplayer Rockstar's put together but not really a contest) and just a clean, well made game all around. I've always been in love with games that give you interesting ways to interact with the environment and the hacking mechanics - no matter how small or even fairly limited they are in some situations - are no different.

Level design is top tier, with interesting missions and great setpieces. Playing the game without using lethal weaponary is probably the best way to play, just a more challenging and rewarding experience. Plus it makes more sense to the story, because Marcus doesn't really seem like the kind of guy to go postal and gun down some night-shift, part-time security guard just for doing their job. But whilst we're on the topic, I will say that the plot and story of this game is what really holds it back. The members of Dedsec may be the most braindead and tone-deaf cyber terrorists the FBI has ever encountered. These guys will ruin lives and kill indiscriminately without a second thought. And it's not like I disagree with their cause, in fact it's very much the opposite, but the way that these people act whilst exploding rockets in the stratosphere and using a carhack to run some poor soul over with a jeep is bordering on psychotic. Playing as wrenchd in one of the final missions who only possesses a fucking grenade launcher to obliterate his enemies is cool in any other game, but in a stealth hacker/puzzle game, it's almost as if Dedsec has given up, and left all of their morals behind for efficiency's sake. This massacre is never mentioned again and the group are treated like heroes. Am I supposed to believe all these men with their limbs hanging off were pure evil? And this is where the story of Watch Dogs 2 fails the most; its CONSEQUENCES. For example, when Dušan puts Marcus on the FBI's most wanted list, a police chase ensues and then..... nothing. Nothing? Nothing, right. No consequences to being public enemy number one of the united states. The game will simply carry on as usual.

All I'm trying to say is that if Ubisoft had a better writing team, this could possibly been the best stealth game of all time. Still so fucking good though. Again: BETTER THAN ANY GRAND THEFT AUTO GAME THIS IS NOT A CLONE! DON'T LET THE MEDIA FOOL YOU!!!

A game that will always, for whatever reason, hold a place in my heart since I was bored and bought in on sale during 2020. Spent way too much time playing this rather than listening in lessons. I LOVE WATCH DOGS 2!

Might be the greatest triple A game comeback of all time?
(Until they threw it all away with Legion again - in typical ubisoft fashion)
