We played two sessions of Onslaught with Robi.
Very intense.
Very fun.

Will Powers, aka the Steel Samurai, allegedly murdered Jack Hammer, aka the Evil Magistrate. So far, we have an aggressive security lady, a suspiciously open shaft leading into the employee area. An assistant who suspects someone has been lurking around on the premises. And most importantly, a photo evidence showing the Steel Samurai making their way to the murder scene.

A few things happened. Most notably, the old lady was lying. She was told to not talk about the director's and producer's presence. She also deleted a Photo that showed a kid who snuck in through the drain.

Goddammit, my goldfish brain is struggling. Anyway, I met a bunch of folks. Notably, the writer or director, who is a creep, the producer, who is a cunt and a little kid that claims to have seen the whole thing. That little shit is the key, as pointed out by the astral projection of my former boss. The old hag has a "hostage" that I need to trade her with something, so I can blackmail the kid to testify or something. Also, Dee Vasquez claims to be trapped in Studio 2 due to the monkey falling at 2:15. It's about the ooks. Because once again it's a novelty clock with this game.

It's been a minute... Evidenced by the fact that nor me or Robi knew how to play this game. We couldn't find the voyages for about 10 minutes and we only made 29K. Still, it's fun.

Won with second deck.

We played the first week of Autumn.

No win, but I played a Royale Flush.

Okay, I'll make it short. I'm pursuing this central AI called the Thinker. Currently, I need to get into a place, but I need Gravity Well first. The game crashed. That's where I am.

I've reached Operations. Listen, it's not bad, but is it amazing? So far, I'm getting the same quality experience BS1 and 2 gave me. Which is not bad, but I might have had too high expectations. Anyway, I like that they threw in a black guy with all the expected nuance around his character. Honestly, I can't tell you any of the other characters or what even is going on here. I know Porter, I know GLADOS, I mean, HAL, I mean, the Thinker and I know there's an antagonist whose name I don't even know. I basically tune out his ramblings.

I caught Robi launching it randomly. I immediately texted him about the servers having been shutdown which prompted a short quest to play a bit online despite Epic Games' best efforts to deny us.
We tried vanilla. Didn't work.
It was PCGW time. Turns out there's a master server patch that works by just copy and pasting a console command. I still had to enable NAT play in ut2004.ini and open a port.
What followed was two rounds of awkward but very fun CTF.

I gave it a chance. Stylish intro but unforgivable handling and just in general a child's idea of dakar rally.

Goddamn, it's actually pretty good. I did die once, but I won the second run.

I died due to misinput.

I downloaded this awful Racenet mobile app and noticed that Robi has a better time on a Greek stage than me. I couldn't let that slide, so I hopped on to reclaim my throne. To be fair to him, it was probably his first and only try on that stage, and it was my 3rd attempt (1st in the Fulvia, 2nd and 3rd in the Alpine). Still, I'll sleep that much better.

I bought it, because why not? I'm mildly afraid of the criticized addictiveness of the game, but I just wanted some mindless dopamine farm. So far, it's fun. I'm not sure how deep I'll go.

Never mind, I've just won on my 4th or 5th run. It was a pretty broken build with many permanently upgrading Joker multipliers, but the final Ante was still goddamn intense.

I've met Elizabeth. They've been raising her in captivity. She also has her personal bodyguard, a big fucking robot bird. I went to the beach, listened to a cover of 'Girls just wanna have fun' and visited some bathrooms. At one point, some lady recognized Elizabeth as Annabelle. Or at least she thought. What makes it stranger is that, in one of my fever dreams, I called out to someone named Anna. Anyway, Lizzy freaked out when I murdered a bunch of white people, but she's fine now.

We closed the evening with some Survive the Internet. It was good enough to delay Robi/Stefi and Bea/Viktor's departure from the get-together.

On the final day of the "Dani is available to us for the extended Easter weekend", we could finally get together. Half of the group, however, was exhausted. Or maybe just me... Anyway, we had no energy for board games and played some Jackbox instead like last time. This was the first time for Bea and Viktor to try Fakin' It. I won a round as Faker. I don't remember much else. We played some rounds, then switched to Guesspionage.

The day has finally come. We wanted to play It Takes Teo but the EA servers were down, thus Rebeka said okay to trying out Dying Light. It was meant to be.

Unfortunately, Rebeka had to do a lot of the early part alone. I could tell she was not always enjoying it but I think after I could join, it changed for the better. This was my first time playing in a while and the first time ever in co-op. We met Bracken, the siblings, and most importantly, Gazi and his mom. The UI is driving me crazy but whatever. I'm having fun. I doubt we'll play much but I hope we do a few more missions still.

We stopped on the 21st of Summer. It's currently Trout Derby day 2. We also experienced a green rain that sent the town into a panicked excuse to visit the pub. Heni is very good at managing the farm while I'm committing genocide on the native population of the mines for their natural resources.

1h 0m

I finished the first mission, then I restarted the whole game. Not because I wanted to, but because I used Sneaky Upgrade with Gold and that wiped my save file. I don't mind, it's a nice mission. And on top of that it's better now without the loading screen. Anyway, I stole this opal, and I'm off to fence it.

IMPORTANT TECHNICAL SIDENOTE: I'm playing with Sneaky Upgrade and a Gamepad. I noticed that after playing this game, I completely lose the ability to click and drag anything in Windows. The only way to fix it is to sign out snd back in. After an hour of troubleshooting with literally zero help from search results and chat bots, I was able to narrow it down to the 'Map a button to Esc' or whatever in SU's Gamepad option. I didabled it and the issue seemingly stopped. Missing this function however, I went into Steam Controller and set up a default Gamepad layout and just mapped the Menu button to Esc. Even though I don't have Steam Overlay, it seems to work.

High on the new controller experience that Dani gifted me, I thought I'd Google if I can play this with a controller. Hitman: Blood Money wasn't terrible with Steam Controller so how bad can it be? Turns out, not terrible at all. I played more than I wanted just because it played so well. I found my way in, then found the basement with the vault and the opal in it.

0h 45m

Dani gifted me randomly a new controller. A Razer Wolverine v2 that functions as an XBONE controller. It's pretty sweet. So sweet in fact that I finished that fucking Flat Out challenge finishing the first year.

With Dani back home, we raided his humble American Psycho-esque apartment and played some Fakin' It. I was the Faker 4 fucking times and won the first three. Later, we tried Quiplash 2 that Rebeka won. After that a bit of Guesspionage. I'm not sure who won. Maybe Adél?
