sometimes a really good 2d platformer that uses its 3d nature really well
sometimes a bit of a slog
sometimes its a reallly good 2d platformer thats a bit of a slog (why are the ark levels so long????)
overall a bit of an inconsistent game but the kingdom of sorrow is one of the best game levels ive ever played holy hell
wanna do it all over just for that bit

geniunely the best 2d 3d leap in history and peak kirby
the secret design and upgrade system is the best
the only big problem is that its low difficulty holds it back, but that also means it gets better and better the harder it becomes
so the volcano levels are naturally amazing
and it follows the kirby tradition of terrifyingly fantasic final bossses really well
(and dedede and meta knights themes SLAP)

tldr: critical mode saves this, and being waay too combat focused hurts it in many ways and makes it kind of monotonous

critcal mode is amazing, and it like the best way to play this. like ignore every other game mode and just go critical. it doesnt even make the harder bosses that bad. it just makes the lamer parts of the game more engaging by making you use everything the combat systems gives you. and the combat is amazing, with drives, summons, spells and different keyblades and abilities its probably the best combat ive ever played
but like
nearly everything else (EXCEPT THE MUSIC go listen to the other promise NOW) in the game isnt as good, ESPECIALLY level design
they werent kidding about the disney painted hallways you guys
sooo many worlds are flat and basic and the only one i can kind of excuse is halloween town and maybe the pride lands but even then they had soo much potential
you fully upgraded moveset is soo good but the process of grinding is TERRIBLE and the fact that no levels are designed around makes them damn near useless outside of combat
plus the story this time around isnt as charming as kh1's, with roxas' story and some climactic moments being the only good parts for me. it feels like everything in this story is just an excuse to have these big cinematic moments and disney deaths and mickey mouse coat throwing and while thats fine sora is a really good character and i really wish he was more well written outside of dramatic parts.
but like uhhh believe me i like this game uhhh THE COMBATS REALLY GOOD OKAY

peak 2d paltforming in one really good package
just dont play these back to back, you'll get tired of it quick

probably the best sonic game ever made, with every playable character (execpt mighty) being well designed and having a fun moveset.
such well designed levels, such beautiful pixal art, and the animation is here is sooooo gooood
somehow i still prefer sonic 3 and k anyways but ignore my biased ass

nothing really stands out to me, but the roll/dive thing add a lot of spice to marios moveset and the game is pretty consistently good
this is definetly better than 3d land though haha
play it with friends for the best/worst experience

subspace is really good and is like a childhood pipe dream of cool crap
too bad the levels are kind of lame
the rest of brawl is packed full of decent content and stuff, but it plays worse than nearly every other smash and just looks ugly to me now, im sorry
this was my childhood so im cutting it someslack with its star rating
(i willl not except brawl meta kinght slander, playing him is funny and he's my boy)
(subspace cutscenes good)

this is the best pokemon game because of that green haired dragon rearing mega twink who's full name includes the word "harmonica"
and also:
-the soundtrack is a vibe
-the playabe characters are the best designed (and most adorable) ones in the series

This review contains spoilers

the mega twink is back with a vengenance and he also gives you his dragon as a gift
not as good as black one though, mostly because the story and rival(s) arent nearly as intresting

forest temple and water temple are peak zelda and the rest of the game is pretty awesome too
and also i understand why its been given its "greatest game ever" title now but no game deserves that level of prestige and it just leads to less people wanting to play this, which is a shame
ill come back to this for the forest temple one day
love that stuff, want it in my veins

the boost gameplay here is really good, though its definetly not the way i want 3d sonic to be done in the future
it sucks that this game couldnt be longer and that classic sonic's levels arent nearly as good as his genesis games but what can you do
overall though, its the most consistently fun 3d sonic game, which is kind of like a miracle sadly

suicide would be more fun than this
sonic 06 would be more fun than this
watching a cat slowly die would be more fun than this
dont play this

really well written and surprisingly peppy!
the best thing a game of its kind could have been and the best april fool's joke ever

the worst 3d zelda game, bogged down by missed potential and annoying filler, still has the merits of a really strong artstyle, my personal favourite artstyle of any game ever.
the dungeons here start out pretty weak and even its best ones (wind and earth temples) are nothing compared to majora and ocarina's best ones, sadly
toon link is the best link ever though and this has the best story out of any zelda ive played so far
also ill depend the sailing till the cows come home, its so relaxing and the song is really really good so yeah
worst doesnt mean bad and its got some really stiff competion anyway

This review contains spoilers

the open world's brilliant, the combat is the best in the series but lacks difficulty and variety, and the dungeons are kind of inconsistent in quality
it still manages to be excellent despite all of that though
