Bio
No drugs, no smoke, no alcohol, just films, music, books, wrestling, comics and videogames. Just 6 addictions instead of the usual 3. My parents bought me a Game Boy when I was 4 and that gave me the gaming curse.

I know it's an industry standard to do warnings about disturbing content in games, but the fact that this ones outright tells you what the story is about as soon as you press play sets the mood for what's to come. That is, a heavy-handed, no room for subtlety or interpretation, psychological horror game.

That said, the game it's not as bad as many people claim. It's just an average first-person horror experience, with elements that you've seen in a million other works of fiction. However, I the narrative is nicely structured and I felt a tremendous sense of accomplishment when I did that locker puzzle. That probably means that I'm really stupid since most people think it was really easy, but those are videogame puzzles for you: make players feel like they're smart when the answer is actually easy to figure out. The monster sections were mostly fun, aside from the final one. That was just too long and annoying. Zoro is still traped there.

Charming tactical adventure carried mostly by the charisma of the cast. Erina is a fun new adittion and Toshiro, althought a bit bland and cliched, has a nice arc. It's a risky decision to put a new character at the center of the whole narrative and its themes, but it works on a general level.

Combat is fun but by no means a future standard for the genre. I've not played a lot of tactical RPGs and I found myself completing most of the missions in 4 or 5 turns when the game rewards you for doing it in 8 or 9. The only ones that got me a little trouble where the one you have to complete in 1 turn, and most, if not all, are side missions. Other than the combat, the narrative unfolds visual novel-style, with no room for exploration aside from the menus, which I didn't mind.

Nice little game if you are a fan of the franchise, not as good as Strikers, but less of a time commitment.
