Complete the main game
Now I can safely conclude that Astlibra Revision is the best JRPG in 2022.
This game is a 2D ARPG just like Odin Sphere or Muramasa. However, the story occupies a large part of this game and it's pretty good. I would even compare it with Chrono Trigger.
But it still has some drawbacks, the difficulty curve and growth curve are not very reasonable. You have to do a lot of grinding to level up.
Anyway, if you think Elden Ring can be the GOTY, I see no reason why Astlibra Revision can't.
At last, let me tell you a scary thing: this game is made by one person.

1993

The reason this game is classic is that its map is actually more readable than many 3A games today.

Extremely powerful story, I just never get bored in it. Each chapter has some enjoyable content. Also, each character has its arc.
I'm not a big SRPG fan so I think the combat mechanic is cool as well, not very hard but still needs some strategy.

The story is really good. Not worse than any Persona as far as I'm concerned.
For the gameplay, I recommend cheating.

I bought a Wii for this game, and now I think it's worth it!
Control is basically the same as the first game, but now you can fly and charge-shot, which adds more variety to the combat.
The level design and the Boss battle is fucking amazing. Imagine a rail-shooter version of the God Hand. You need to learn Bosses' patterns, dodge every attack, and counter the enemy at the right time with your blade.
The music is also better than the N64 one, so epic.

The story is quiet confusing but I don't fucking care about it.

The last two hours of this game are insane.
Totally sacrificed gameplay and pacing for the sake of meta, but it's worth it.

Far better than cuphead. Instead of waiting for new indie games, why not try some more classics?

After playing the P5R I feel even better about its story.
Garbage Tartarus and weak commu doesn't matter anymore since I've already suffered.

I'm satisfied with everything except the story.

You have to admit that MGS is more interesting than most games in the 21st century.

If you can play NGB, I wouldn't recommend this. Most changes are stupid.
But if you don't have an XBOX or don't want to use an emulator, it's still worth a try. There are some user-friendly improvements as well as resolution enhancements.
7/10 for PC action game fans.

2022

Lite version of God Hand.
I'd like to complain about the content and repetition. But as an indie game, it is fun enough.

This game has made improvements in all aspects, including graphics, gameplay, and soundtrack.
However, the battle is still a bit long and monotonous, ES combat is good visually but too simple.
For the story, there were no pacing problems anymore, and most of the mysteries were also solved.
Great series as a successor to Xenogears. And may be the jewel of SF JRPG. (at least on the story)
