A fun alternative platformer that's more about puzzle solving with the goofy status ailments than about executing tough jumps. Would recommend

First canonical Naboo Starfighter appearance look it up

Some Jiggys require fighting the controls and that sucks but for the most part an excellent platformer

This game's too hard for my baby brain, man. At least Mario Kart 64 let me feel like I knew what I was doing for a little bit. Some of the mid/late game races are merciless.

Far and away my favorite game of all time, each level is different and challenging in its own way and the voice acting is as endearingly silly now as it was back then. I can't say enough how tight an experience this is, and how rewarding it is to learn secrets and strategies to improve your score. An all-timer

Overrated or not FFVII changed what people want and expect from the JRPG genre and has a genuinely moving story among the now-exhausted tropes. It's fascinating how different the characters are from how they're remembered; Cloud was more of a goofball and the edginess was more or less a minor part of his arc.

Performance issues aside turning the Zelda loop into an open world with mysteries and unknowns to explore was an inspired choice. Exploring the barren landscape with no guide and little direction was a blast and I wish I could experience it all over again.

2018

An addictive gameplay loop with enough different ways to play where every run feels unique. Music and voice acting are fantastic and the writing accounts for so many variables in gameplay that you never hear the same conversations twice. My favorite rogue-adjacent

A fun idea hampered by the grind of unlocking characters and the studio's insistence that it is more a competitive game than party game. The controls are not tight enough for a super competitive experience and lack of items and level design make the game feel really dull really fast. More fun seeing new characters than it is to play
