cool and surreal with kick ass music. takes a while to get used to the controls but an enjoyable time nevertheless. a tad short tho.

the dlc continues both with the games strong character writing/music but also its hickups (framerate is uh. not good still).

2023/10/09: spyro 1 clear

2023/10/11: spyro 2 clear

2023/10/14: spyro 3 clear

first time playing trough spyro and it was pretty fun! enjoyable gameplay loop thats easy to get into. my fave ended up beig spyro 2 with its stronger cast + v charming cutscenes. some questionable design choices felt a tad sterotypical tho lol (hello arabian thieves) but i had a pleasant time besides that

01/10/2023: sebec route done!
03/10/2023: aaand sq route finished! review soon

im a big fan of the persona series so im glad i finally took the time to sit down and get around to this one! more enjoyable than i expected!

the cast is pretty strong there were times i wish they had more time to shine, but where they do shine is alot of the optional dialouge u can have with em in side areas (and there is ALOT). a big shame tho that there wasnt a new game plus bc i would have loved to replay it with a different crew since some of the cast are optional party members.

i played with the music mod and yeah, i get it now why ppl are kind of mixed on the new ost. its not bad but the but it does feel like trying to fit a round figure in a square hole. it passes trough but it doesnt entirely feel fitting. the original ost just gives a different mood that the new one doesnt really match. its a shame also bc the original ost is a banger on its own. would have loved if they remixed them instead/able to choose like in the p2 psp games.

the gameplay is where it gets kinda boring. i love the demon negotiation but with the lack of a compedium it gets a bit repetive to recruit the same old demons again.

the rank up system is intresting due to having to use a personas skill so they can gain their skillsets fully. a way so party members are actually used. but having the exp ALSO be determined by how active a party member is used is a god damn pain in the ass, esp if ur trying to grind quickly (which you probably have to at some point). not a big fan of having to position ur party members also.

but even with its hick ups im glad i played this and pumped to try more of the "oldsona" games. can only hope this gets ported in the future so ppl can try it on, flaws and all.

23/09/2023: cleared 3d world "main game". Gonna try post game stages

24/09/2023: gotten every star/stamp/gold flag why cant i unlock the final world

"you gotta play trough every stage with every character"(guy who has played solo 😨)

edit: NVM apperently you dont need them? Maybe im missing smth

25/09/2023: FINISHED champions road. dont ask how many lives i lost

26/09/2023: bowsers fury DONE 100%. Review time.

alot i liked about this one! fun stages, fun use of the new cat power up, stellar controls as always when it comes to mario. not my all time fave mario game but its pretty up there!

bowsers fury feels like a really intresting experiment. it felt like a perfect length and the gameplay loop didnt feel repetive as i feared it to be! super curious how its gonna be implemented in the future

Yeah i had a riot with this one.

I get why ppl sing praises too. Just really fun dialouge, charming characters, cool enemy designs and memorable enviroments/music. The party was a delight and the sprite work is amazing (also those end credits!! Wowie)

I did wish for some sort of "monster collection" list just to have a look at all the fun designs. The battle ui could at times be hard to read due to the bg enviroment (not sure if this was due to the platform i played it or a bug). It also took a bit to get used to the whole "one button used for one thing (press b for defense/run and then press b again to select rather than a). Wish we had more geno interaction with the party as well.

But honeslty even with these issues i had a blast and while im sad i didnt play it sooner im glad i did manage to get around it before the remake hits.

All in all on of my top fave mario games!

Pretty enjoable. Cute small cutscenes inbetween worlds. Levels are ok, not anything that i havent seen before but i had a fun time. Not gonna bother with the special worlds tho since im satisfied with beating the game

it's new super mario bros with...alot of coins. yeah idk either. kinda uninspired overall if im being honest but it did kill some time for me if nothing else

edit: all the star/moon coins now gathered

my fave in the series i think! mostly due to a large part on how more memorable the floors/bosses where compared to the second one. the atmosåphere from the first is still missing but honestly the cutscenes and animations have so much chamr i can forgive it. i do wish for more variety when it came to tacklign enemies, maybe even some sort of upgrade system? gooigi was a fun addition tho and i welcomed the change of pace when it came to puzzles.

overall while the gameplay was fine it stil packs a charm!

its ok! i love the concept, i dig the artwork (the pokemons by characters side emoting alongside the characters was REALLY cute), i REALLY dig the music, but the narrative side of things felt pretty barebones to me. i liked oshi, but her story was the only one i was invsted in, the rest of the cast kinda slid right off me.

the gameplay is pretty easy to get into, with lots of unique stages. the main story is kinda short which i didnt mind and i know the postgame is alot bigger fopr those wantign to spend more thime on this. i skipped it personally since it seemed far too timeconsuming and lacked the more character meat i wanted (only a cutscene at the beginning and end). i wished they took a bit from fire emblem where you could have supports between characters for

again, i liked the concept and some aspects of it, but not really a game overall that will stcok with me

2023

Short but really hits hard for me. Food culture as a way to connect, immigration, the things that could easily be lost, the cloud that looms over you when you parents moved for your sake....all really good stuff in less than two hours.

Also now im hungry

Had a good ol time even if the atmosphere from the first one isnt really captured anymore. Loads of charming cutscenes and funny dialouge.

Gameplay isnt really anything to write home about. Thought the mission based system easily took you out of things and was kinda annoying, esp if u are trying to find collectibles. Not alot of memorable bosses either.

Still, not the worst game, just a pretty okayish one.

Been with this since the start but im shelving this for now. While dig alot of the characters/design/music etc the plot/events at this moment of time hasnt really grabbed me.

Maybe ill pick it up later if something peaks my intrest

Cute and fun! Tho Having to hear klonoa characters actually speak human words gave me a deep sense of discomfort

Liked this one better than empire of dreams. Levels had more flair/uniqueness. Still not as heartfelt as klonoa 1/2 but i dug it
