Despite being a hell of a lot longer than the first chapter (at least in my playthrough) SC felt like it really stuck the landing. Eschews some of the cozy vibes of FC in favor of really pushing the narrative along. Still one of the best casts of characters I've seen in an RPG. In this house we support Olivier Lenheim (even though he's maybe sort of a creep). Estelle Bright is an all-timer protagonist.

Despite a slow start, a few somewhat problematic story elements, and some goofiness that didn't land, Danganronpa felt engaging to me throughout with some genuinely fun "a-ha!" moments.

Two gripes:
- I think the game could've actually been a bit shorter - the school life segments dragged a bit.
- The rhythm gameplay during class trials fell flat for me. It was frequently unclear what I was doing wrong and I didn't feel they added much to the overall tension and fun of the trials.

Overall a fun ride with a lot of humor and a killer vibe. Will satisfy fans of Ace Attorney or other gameplay-focused visual novels. Just as long as you have a tolerance for anime nonsense. :~)

There's a lot to like here but feels disjointed in parts, dry in the whole thing and slightly outdated. If you're looking for a Very Bethesda game, it's definitely worth sinking some hours into. A fun zone-out game with a vibe that didn't click for me.
