Impressive objective quality of mechanics, art, and music, but a little lacking in actual inspiration and story. Didn't really do anything much better to than the sequel, felt kind of like a modded version of botw. Gonna be pretty disappointed if Nintendo continues to ignore writing/theming/stylism in favor of just throwing money away.

Its unbelievably well written, illustrated, and composed for the time and tools. Only frustration was a bit of grindiness, but thats just the way rpgs were in the time, and chrono trigger isn't actually even too bad in that respect.

It might not appeal to everyone but the impact it had on indie games is unreal. No Yume Nikki means no undertale, no omori, no lisa, list goes on. At least, not in the way that we know them.

Honestly? Its one of the lower tier zelda games. but its one of the first video games i ever played and now im a huge zelda fan so i love it.

5 stars if you just play the beginning(leshys initial arc), pretty sure mullins just overscoped the project and didn't have time to really polish it.

beautiful effects, cool music, great characters/writing, interesting/unique mechanics and level design.

honestly was a little repetitive for me, but its a truly impressive game in terms of coding and concept. Its just a little bit niche because a lot of the fun is building new wands and creating new things, which can be a little brain heavy. It has a lower rating cause its not everyone's cup of tea, I'm sure the people its made for love it.

One of the most well polished rpgs of the modern age, and they didn't even compromise on writing or story. Thats really rare nowadays...
