this game was my introduction to the atelier games and i have to say, i really did enjoy my time with it. the first few hours i was a bit worried i might not enjoy it as much, but after a while it just sorta clicked.

the game is sweet and relaxing. it's not really like other jrps with super dark and serious stories and the end of the world being near, but rather about the few main characters and their personal struggles, that are all very relatable. i really did like every character in the game, even if monika and oscar sorta became useless to me by the end of the game as they weren't in my party, nor did they provide any useful services like leon or cory did. i even enjoyed the side characters such as pamela or elise, who also got small but sweet story bits.

the combat is rather easy, but i still did avoid it for most of the game, meaning i got my ass kicked whenever i really did need to use it to advance the story. crafting weapons, armour, items and consumables is really fun and it helped me to go from being underleveled and weak as fuck, to being able to beat pretty much anything in my way, including the final boss.

i'm glad the game has a bit of post game content, even if i didn't get around to finishing that yet. post game just feels like a must for this sort of game.

the music is very nice as well and i'm especially glad i get the chance to listen to older games soundtracks. the digital artbook that comes with the switch version of this game is great as well and i loved looking at the characters in their silly little outfits.

overall, i really enjoyed this game and i hope that atelier sophie 2 will be just as much fun!

i'm usually someone who much preferes a good story over fun gameplay, but with this game, i didn't seem to mind things being the other way around. the story is one that you've probably heared before and the game doesn't reinvent anything, but the gameplay is tons of fun!

most things about this game are rather average. the soundtrack is nice, but sometimes i found myself putting on my own playlist and muting the game. the characters are nice, but there are a bit too many to spend time with all of them. i never once used caius, felton, rose or a few of the others, because i didn't have the time to try out new characters, knowing i would get new ones in the very next level. many characters may work for a game with permadeath, but a few of the later characters felt a little unnecessary. the support conversations were alright. some were really fun and some i didn't pay much attention to.

overall, the game didn't stood out to me in any particular way, but i still had tons of fun with it. if you don't care much about the story, you can get a lot of enjoyment out of the gameplay!

this game is tons of fun! i've done all there is to do in the game, married everyone, got all collectibles, played through the game multiple times and even had a few farms with friends. after over 300 hours, i still can find ways to entertain myself in the game. even if i did all i can on one save file, i can just start a new game. this is going to be a game i'll keep coming back over the years

to my suprise, my opinion on the game changed after learning more about the original japanese version of it.

i hated the ending of the game, since it's a disgrace to what the first two games have build up. but after finding out that this game played in an entirely different universe and was not connected to the events of the first two games whatsoever, i really started to enjoy it!

the characters are very hit or miss for me. i adore gonta, kaeda, rantaro or ryoma. but i despise kaito, angie or himiko. all of the monokubs are absolute awful characters as well, even if that was probably a bit intentional.

the executions of this game are by far the best. i especially love the second execution, since i love the character dying that much and they did something new and unique with that execution. the fifth execution was really good as well, being a callback to a famous execution.

the trials were also pretty good! especially the first and second one stood out to me. the third and fourth trial have some moments that i don't really like but are overall fine and the fifth and sixth are decent as well.

i had a few problems with the performance of the game on my switch, as it crashed maybe 3-4 times in total and only during the trials. i had to re-do certain parts of them, adding a few extra hours to my playthrough.

the sprites look good and i enjoy the character designs, even the ones we see a glimpse of in the beginning. that really caught me off guard!

the plot of the game is somehow the weirdest fucking thing out there, while still being very reasonable and even something i had had as an idea myself. of course not everything played out just as i imagined, which i am glad about but still dislike how certain things were handled.

overall, i had a good time with this game. not my favourite danganronpa game, but i also don't hate it as much as i used to. this is the type of game that will grow on you over time.

only the prologue has released so far, but i'm already having thoughts and feelings about this game.

the cast is by far the best part about this game. for a killing game story to really work, you need to either really get attached to the characters or despise them and want to see them suffer. and honestly, i'm pretty much loving every character so far! damon is a great protagonist because he's so full of himself and i would absolute hate someone like him in real life. wolfgang is such a nice guy, but i wouldn't be suprised if he turned around and stabbed everyone in the back at some point. i love the design of characters like toshiko or kai and the voice acting is pretty good for pretty much every character (didn't spot anyone that felt odd to me, but i'm personally not a big fan of ulysses mumbling-- ). there are a few characters i'm neutral - but leaning positive - about, like ingrid, desmond or eloise, that i would probably love if i had more time with them. the only characters i don't have much of an opinion on so far are eva and wenona. wenona is really smart, i have to give her that, but she needs more screen time for me to care about her. eva on the other hand is untrustworthy so far, even if i don't believe her to be an evil person. still, not enough i know about her and when it came to first impressions, she just didn't blow me away.

now, i could probably gush a few more paragraphs about charactere, but for the sake of it, i'm going to mention the game play now. it's very close to danganronpa, so nothing new for me, but i played danganronpa on console, so playing this game on pc was new for me. i did have a few problems with the game, only during the class trial though. this could of course be partially the fault of my pc being too slow or weak to handle the game, but i would like to mention those problems anyways.

the first non stop debate was an absolute pain and it didn't get much better afterwards. slowing down time worked just fine, but aiming and actually shooting the truth bullets was miserable. although i had the time slowed down, the bullet was so slow, that it barely ever hit anything. i often times clicked right on the weak point and the bullet would still miss. sometimes, weak points or arguments wouldn't even show up! there was one non stop debate in particular (i believe the third one?) where half of the time the first argument wouldn't load. i heared the line, but didn't see it on screen. and the actual weak point of that round flew over the screen SO quickly, that i had to slow down time while someone else was still presenting their argument, to even have a slight chance! that mixed together with the time limit wasn't much fun. this might entirely be a me problem and due to my pc being slow, but other things worked just fine. running around was fine, as well as other parts of the trial. but the non stop debate was barely doable.

the closing argument was also a little weird, since suddenly my mouse was really sensitive and if i would just move it slightly, my cursor was already two panels further. it wasn't the worst thing and i still managed to do everything very well, but it was a bit odd.

despite all of the issues i had with the actual class trial, i really enjoyed this game! or well, the prologue at least! i have very high hopes in this game and it seems like it might meet them or even surpass them. i'm really looking forward to more of it!

easily the best story in any mario party game. the boards are very fun as well and the star cost is reasonable. the characters roster is good and i love the teams and their silly little team names!

i've played this game a ton when i was a child, especially the battle mode. balloon fight is really fun and i probably played it more than the actual tracks. still, the controls in this game aren't prefered. other mario kart games feel much smoother to control, so i can't bring myself to return to this mario kart game over us, only for the battle mode

this game is fun! there isn't much i can say about it, nothing that makes it stand out much. it's just simple fun, nothing more, nothing less

i really liked this game as a kid, but when returning to it now, it doesn't hold up as well. it's not a bad game by all means, but the controls are a bit clunky and the graphics just aren't as great as i remembered them. the game is still very fun, but this is not the version i would go back to, when wanting to replay the game. still, the minigames are fun, so i'll likely return just for them.

this is the best looking mario kart game so far. the tracks are nice, especially if you count the tracks the dlc adds (and currently is still adding). the soundtrack is alright, perhaps just not my personal taste but it works as it is. the character roster could be better. characters like pink gold peach shouldn't be their own character and instead be a skin you can equip to peach. instead, it would be nice to add perhaps kamek or hell, maybe even one or two more nintendo characters

i am a bit conflicted over this game.

on one hand, i love it. the cast is the best one in any fire emblem game so far, the supports are really fun and i'm especially glad they were voiced, as well as literally anything else in the game. divine pulse is a nice addition and much better than milas divine wheel. unit customization has never been this good before. the three house leaders are amazing characters and especially dimitri has to be one of my all time favourite fire emblem characters, heck maybe even THE favourite. the maps are pretty decent, nothing i'm too positive nor negative about. the story itself is good as well.

but-- the game really drags. i cannot recommend playing all four routes after one another, it was the worst mistake in my entire gaming history. route one was fun! i enjoyed it a lot and i loved the game. even route two was nice, getting to see a different side of the story and this time fully understanding combat from the start, so i've been doing better than before. but once i started the third route, i was getting tired of it. the same first few chapters once more. and even when reaching the timeskip, it still felt like i was just doing a replay of my second playthrough. the silver snow route especially is my least favourite and just shouldn't have been a thing. it wasn't worth it, just for this one final boss that was different and the little extra snippets of lore. they really could've just put that plot twist in claudes route and called it a day.

as of writing this, i haven't finished edelgards route yet. i have enough selfrespect to not touch the game for a while and instead play some other games. i love the game and it has some of the highest highs in the franchise, but by god, i'm really burnt out on it--

it's been almost a year to this day that i finished this game. i really did like it a lot, but after playing the other two games, i'm not quite sure if this game holds up as well. the claustophobic setting is great, yet personally i liked the open island system of the second game more. the characters are fun, but i find myself overall liking characters from the other games more. makoto is my least favourite protagonist in the series and kyoko is a character i don't have any strong feelings for. byakuya is a great antagonist and the villain of the game is awesome as well, but gets re-used in the later games, making them less effective there but their performance in this game is iconic.

the trials in this game are nice, but while i like the ideas behind them, i don't care that much about most of the characters involved in them. the executions are good, but nothing that comes to my mind right away when thinking about DR executions, except the first one, simply because it's iconic.

i do like the ending of this game a lot. it leaves things to your imagination, but if you really want closure, you can go watch the anime. the survivors of this game are all characters i am not too attached to, except for two of them.

perhaps i would rate this game higher or lower once i replay it. but for now, this is how i feel about it

everyones experience with this game is going to be unique, which is pretty cool. but i think i've burnt out on it for now

i've almost finished the game but stopped right before the final boss, with other games grabbing my attention instead. either way, the game was rather fun, but not quite as fun as phantom hourglass. the rail system isn't as fun as freely controlling your boat on the sea, but the music in this game is better than the one in PH. especially the overworld theme is an absolute banger! getting to play alongside zelda is really fun as well and honestly something that should happen more often in future games, one way or another. and yet, i can't recall much of this game. it was fun in the moment, but it didn't really stick with me.

bowsers fury is rather short, but tons of fun. i fully finished it in a few hours and haven't returned to it since, but remember it fondly. i do hope that future mario games will look more like it.

mario 3d world was fun as well, i prefere it over 3d land even. the character selection is decent, the power ups are decent, but the cat power up is way too good compared to the others. the soundtrack is good, some nice and relaxing music for most of the time. the levels weren't too difficult or easy. overall a very nice game!
