Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a breath of fresh air for 2D Mario. The wonder flower is a great idea, reminiscent of 2D Kirby games by switching up the mechanics during the level. The badges game offer a change in approach, enhancing replayability and offering additional challenges with expert badges, and was my primary motivation to buy the game after playing the demo at PAX. To my disappointment however, the badges are a little underwhelming, A lot of the action badges have similar functionality or are hard to utilize the support badges, while making the game more accessible, are almost completely useless for even semi decent players. This is my review as of only beating the main story, my opinion may change as I go through the special world and go for 100% completion. Overall a solid experience.
the SoL sections arent as bad as ch 1, however there is still room for improvement. the horror is much better since we are already familiar with the setting/characters, allowing for the horror to be more developed and focused. looking forward to ch 3.
2020
tactical shooters as a whole have been disastrous for the shooter genre, however valorant is one of the worst offenders. content updates are few and far between, the community is full of weirdos that drive the very rare genuine good person away, this game is genuinely unplayable unless with friends (even then its not that good). quit competitive games and your life will change.
slice of life sections are way too long but the entire second half is great, can't wait to see what the rest of the story has in store

solid survival base builder. the automation is kinda funky but it's not really needed. the lore is better than I was expecting it to be. very interesting and unique inventory system. decent amount of content but it could have a little more, however I doubt that development is over. cosmetics are a little expensive for a base 45AUD game but it doesn't affect gameplay at all so it's not that big of an issue. good game to pick up and play with friends, buy it if it's on sale

this game is a gateway to roguelikes. insane how much care went into every aspect of this game, from the voice acting to the art to the mechanics, the sequel can't come sooner

great platformer with simple yet deep mechanics, perfect amount of difficulty with impeccable level design. empowering message about overcoming anything. must play for anyone who likes platformers.

best shooter ive played and its not even done. incredibly satisfying gameplay loop which allows for heaps of expression through the style system. unfathomably based.

the gameplay might be actually boring af but minecraft will never not be a 10 because of the memories ive made and people ive met through this game
