While I played the original back on the PS2, I can't say I had a lot of nostalgia for this game. The remaster looks great, handles well, and for what it is, was fun all the way through. The humor was hit or miss, but Grant Albrecht's delivery of Crypto carries even the worst jokes. The games levels were varied enough between on foot/saucer combat, and holoblob (cloaking) stealth. By far the funnest parts of the game are destroying entire towns with your saucer.

100% Completion Notes: Had a fun time with this one and its very straight-forward achievement list. Got 90% of the achievements just playing through the game and just had to clean up challenges and optional mission objectives, none of which were too hard.

I mean yeah it's a great remake, but I'd rather have a new game rather than just a remake, I'm kinda getting tired of all these remarks.

Eh, ya know, it's a PS2 game with tonnes of charm and clever ideas -- but even with a shiny coat of paint it struggles with the limited and boring mission design that repeats upon itself endlessly. But a pretty solid job was done dressing it up for newer consoles.

Ive never totally understood the massive appeal of this series and always regarded it as a pretty B-tier game back on the Playstation 2. The remake does little to dissuade me from this opinion overall.

Sure it does have its moments, when the action really kicks in and things go flying it can be an absolute blast but honestly thats incredibly limited at most. The rest isnt as good and is just a load of rather frustrating stealth based missions, finicky side objectives and collectables that are just flat out not fun to find in any way shape or form.

So yeah. Theres still some fun action here but its just oh so limited in scope and nature.

maybe we didn’t need to remaster this one, fellas

Destroy All Humans is a game I always meant to get around when I was 15. Well now that I'm 32 better late than never.

This game is a lot of fun. It's pretty much what I expected with quite a bit of surprises. It seems pleasantly ahead of it's time for 2005. The semi open world sand box style levels, map collectibles, weapon upgrades, post story challenges, and a surprising amount of variety to gameplay all add up to an incredibly modern feeling game. That said I don't know what, if any, mechanics or gameplay was added for this remake.

I do know the graphics were completely overhauled and the entire design aesthetic was switched from the original. At first I thought this looked fine, but then I saw it compared to the original and it gave me a whole new appreciation for it. Not that I'm one to complain about old graphics or think they look like shit just because it's old. I still love playing ps2 games in their original form and I settle into the graphics just fine. I had a new appreciation for Destroy All Humans graphical re-design because the cartoony aesthetic works so much better for it. It fits the tone and the story so much more than the realistic look they were going for originally.

I also appreciated the satirical tone and the retro 50s B movie sci-fi look. It's a fun throwback and those two flavors mesh really well.

My biggest nit picks is that a lot of the levels just felt like tutorials and they never really let you off the leash. It felt like the game really shined in the open world free roam segments. It also felt like I was completely overwhelmed with text boxes and dialog. At any given time there could be 3 separate boxes of text with 3 separate voices talking at the same time. It felt like audio-visual over stimulation. The only gameplay element that really annoyed me was the camera when flying the saucer. I felt everything else was adequately implemented for 2005. The gunplay, traversal, telekinetic powers, stealth mechanics all felt really well done. The challenges at the end were slightly annoying but nothing that couldn't be done after a few tries. It's a fairly easy platinum trophy which is alway bonus points for me.

I'm sad there was so much missed time from my childhood by not playing this sooner but like I said better late than never. I really enjoyed Destroy All Humans. 8/10.

I don't get the point of this crap.

A very fun and faithful remake. Pretty straightforward, but still very fun all the way through. The new devs even added some new weapons and even put back in a once deleted mission which was fun to play through. Optional challenges in the mainline missions are fun mini challenges you can participate in while causing mayhem, and the 4 different level challenges in each world are fun are fun enough, but can get really irritating if you aren't upgraded properly. If you're looking for some dirty and quick fun, you could probably get through the main story within a day or two. It's also available on GamePass and PSPlus Premium on top of constantly being on sale.

its fun..............for like 30 minutes

I played this while it was on Game Pass. This remake really shows that a lot of what was created back when it was first released is still a lot of fun today. The silly dialog, the crazy devices, the destruction... it's just a ton of fun. Also, updated graphics that kind of make the game look like how we remember it!

There are still some areas of the game that feel a bit dated and janky though. When switching between devices and remembering what buttons do what in certain situations can be a little cumbersome when you're in a heated battle or trying your best to stealth through a section.

Otherwise, this one is a lot of fun!

adaptação fiel da chegada do et d varginia no interior d minas gerais

one of the only decent remakes this entire generation, does pretty much everything it needs to and a little extra.

Fun for a few hours, but the underlying PS2-era game design gets stale pretty fast, even with a relatively short campaign. Good thing it’s on Game Pass

Really enjoyed revisiting a game that I adored as a child. Lots of quality of life improvements and is really a great remake. The game is still absolutely hilarious and I can’t wait for the sequels remake as I preferred that one.

This game reminded me of my childhood renting mediocre games from Blockbuster and eating frozen pizza for dinner.

This remake is such a glowup from the original. I love both games dearly but oh man. Destroy all Humans remake is glorious and I absolutely cannot wait for the sequel's remake.

The aliens invade us: the videogame, well they invade the United States during the Cold War to be precise and in the process, they make fun of every possible cliche. It's quite fun and last short enough to avoid being tiresome.

Los aliens nos invaden: el videojuego, bueno más concretamente invaden los Estados Unidos de la Guerra Fría y en el proceso se mofan de todos los clichés que pueden. Está bastante entretenido y dura lo suficientemente poco como para que no se haga pesado.

THQ Nordic is set on warmastering, re-Mars-tering, rehydrating, and re-reckoning a whole host of games from annals of yesteryear. But instead of touching up classics like Final Fantasy 7, Resident Evil 2, and Crash Team Racing, the publisher has been revisiting fondly remembered titles with less cultural cache. Destroy All Humans symbolizes that initiative and has thus gotten its own 2020 remake. Its probing gear has gathered some rust in the ensuing 15 years, but the probing process itself isn’t as uncomfortable as that gap implies.

I always wanted to play this game as a child after playing a demo of it back on the PS2 but was never able to. I think this holds up, its good old fun.

Good, not-so-clean fun. LIKE SHOOTING MONKEYS IN A BARREL

Played this for a few hours cause I was bored and it was free on Playstation Plus. Truly feels out of the PS2 generation mission based third person shooter and I don't mean that as a bad thing. It was decent fun. I really dislike the main alien dude's voice doesn't seem right to me. Didn't feel like a must play or anything but I might come back to it in a slower month. Not sure but I dig the concept.

i think the moment i was fully confident that i was playing a fantastic remake, its when you start the first Rockwell level and if you go near the cars outside the fair, you can see cars shaking with handprints on the windows, it shows that the developers have a fantastic eye for small details.

this is text book example of an excellent remake that doesn't strive away from what made the original good, improve issues with its controls and didn't removed any content while adding stuff that makes the open world feels more lived in, though its only issue is random stuttering no matter your specs.

completely full with confidence with its new gameplay additions, allowing from combat being a smooth as possible thanks to being able to use your Psi-Abilities on the press of a single quick keybind/d-pad arrow, instead of forcing you to open a sub-menu like in the original, an addition to a free skateboard-like dash that allows exploration to be more fun and adding mechanics from its sequel like transmorg objects for ammo.

loved it all.

It wasn't bad, not particularly enthralling either.
