The only one I enjoyed. Having actually good singleplayer content is a good thing apparently.

about 700 hrs on this - 100%ed stickers and trophies -- i was so obsessed with this as a kid that i had a countdown in my school calendar.. in hindsight it really is as clunky as people say :( i will always love this game for introducing me to mother 3 though

Morning tradition with my best friend at the time to smash us!

This is 1 of the first 3 games I've ever played. I have a very strong feeling it's the 1rst. My older cousin put me onto this game, via the Subspace Emissary. A story mode campaign wherein you and the other characters are tasked with saving the world from the trophy master (call him that cause he turns dudes into trophies). It's hella fun and the levels have tons of soul in them. Plenty of variety and wonderfully designed levels. Also, the boss battles are kino. Which other game lets you fight Ripley on a burning starfox fighter jet!? As for the plain pvp mode it's great. Items are a lot of fun, especially the smash ball which allows for some wonderful super moves!!! The maps are all engaging and a treat to the eyes. Not to mention you can create your own maps as well. You can also look at character backgrounds (story) in the trophy view mode. This game is packed full of content and characters. Who woulda thought Mario, Sonic, and Snake would all be in 1 game. That's unheard of, basically the staples of Nintendo's competitor consoles all together in 1 game. Overall, I played this game time and time again growing up. With people this game is made even more fun. I use to fake being sick to play this game in elementary school, it was that good. Before summer camp, me and my little cousin would also play the Subspace Emissary. This game basically birthed my love for videogames.

Foi legal pra passar o tempo

Subspace Emissary type mode needs to be brought back

They even have Metroid in this game which is freaking awesome.

Yeah I am only rating these to dunk on Smash Bros. Deal with it.

de bons souvenirs.. mais en y rejouant j'ai vomi un peu dans ma bouche.. ça a 5 étoiles pour la nostalgie par contre

I love Subspace so much but I can't play this game without mods, I'm sorry.
I need to play as Goku fighting against Parappa the Rapper and Shaggy Rogers.

this is the best smash game.

i love smash games but this game kinda REEKS. it takes everything I like about platform fighters and takes a big ol slow dumpy on it. the game just feels BAD and SLOW and SLUGGISH and like every character has 10 tons of bricks stepped to there legs.

I'm so utterly bad I couldn't win against my friends even picking Meta Knight (I didn't know it was meta at the moment, I just liked him because edgy)

Sequel to Subspace Emissary when?

jigglypuff isnt good in this game so the game inst very good

I know it's lowkey a hated smash bros, but I played the shit out of this with my friends as a kid and I still love it. Stan Smash bros brawl.

Primer smash, iba durísimo, en retrospectiva no es tan bueno

a beautiful mess. gives Star Wars prequels vibes. some really weird artistic directions taken that just dont pan out. no smash has even gotten close to making me feel the way this one did, and thats only like 60% nostalgia talking

i love this game and as broken as it can get, its such a leap forward coming from melee and has so many iconic songs and stages and characters
the subspace emissary is pretty okay but the cutscenes go pretty hard and its a way less monotonous way to unlock all the characters in the game!

GOAT.

Rating for the Subspace Emissary, primarily (which I have returned to multiple times over the years), and fond college memories (though a lot of that was with mods, admittedly).

This game's competitive gameplay is definitely the hardest to come back to for even my preferred casual level of VS. play, but given the direction Ultimate has taken the series it'll likely always be the best overall single-player package.

El emisario subespacial es muy entretenido, lo mejor de la saga para un single-player. Los diseños están muy bonitos, algunos se ven un poquito edgys, pero en esa época eso era cool. Lo mejor son los Ice Climbers.

They could never make me hate you.

Lots of content + subspace emissary was fun. Core engine is very slow and janky. Not terribly fun to play.

SMASH! WITH STORY MODE! WITH SONIC!
