Combat is alright but makes too many concessions to the beat mechanics to be more than just stylish. every single time a character opens their mouth it is incredibly punishing to listen to. overall its fine and in years past this would have been a bargain bin gem where you get it for $10 and its much more than you expected to get.

Perhaps This Is Hell

I honestly don’t know how to articulate how much I love this game but I will try. one who has played many games might see derivation and believe there is nothing here but truly I feel like the actual content and storytelling, the themes and visuals, are so rarely done to this degree of excellence, or even done at all in video games, so I implore you to please play this game, because my words pale in comparison to the actual experience.

Total Eclipse is, fittingly, built upon the failures of two other versions of itself and the original Muv-Luv, figuring out what to keep and what to scrap so that it can be the best version of itself. Also fittingly, this is the story not of Frontline war heroes, but test pilots who must do the very same with the Mechs they help develop. For the sake of keeping much of it unspoiled, I will be brief. This is the best one so far.

A unique, innovative, and fun game released sadly too late into the Sega Saturn’s lifespan. Every video game should have a theme song like Burning Rangers, also they should all be sung by Takenobu Mitsuyoshi

The original fallout is still the best and most clear vision of fallout to date

Spreading Christianity through the barrel of an imported Portuguese matchlock has never been more fun

Elden Ring quite honestly defies all logic that could be used to explain it's existence, the scope and scale of the game, it's density, and all the work done on a mechanical level feel like this game had to have been in development since the first Dark Souls, but it was not. Fromsoft finally elevates the concept of Dark Souls to an All Timer with Elden Ring

after three months of reading, arduous puzzles, and cool fights I have to say, there really is nothing else like Muramasa

it took them almost 20 whole years, at least three of which were probably spent on this particular iteration, to create The Best Metroid Game

The First Arkane game where they said "hey, what if we made all the gameplay fun?" and it turns out it made their best game yet

Gahkthun is a Lean, Mean, Narrative Machine, having only enough fat to round out the experience and keep things at a nice length of not to short and not too long. Very interesting narrative structure & compelling writing.

Super Metroid is alright, it's an important game for establishing a lot of the conventions of later metroid games, it doesn't quite remain better than the GBA entries that came after it, but it's a good game, one that far outstrips it's place on the SFC/SNES

Great game, shame there's like no content!

if this was a regular final fantasy this would be the best one
