Very cute furry platformer! I'm a weirdo who loves tank controls so this feels right at home for me! Not to mention how wonderfully charming the visuals and character designs are, they're just really cute!

I loved my time with this game.

It's grindy, it's repetitive, it's confusing, it's really simple, and STUPIDLY easy.

But god, that atmosphere, that story.

It's an oddly comfy game.

Another game that's PEAK PSX aesthetic, with a mixture of the comfortable, soothing music.
The low-poly environments and super expressive sprite work.
The very silly interactions between the characters and the wonderful dynamics they have.
And the wonderfully written story!

The only issue I have with the game is how incredibly slow the battles are, and how way too easy the game is. Though both of those things do admittedly add to it's comfy atmosphere, it's a real joy!

An incredibly special game that, is unfortunately somewhat difficult to go back to after playing the sequel, at least for me.

The story is one of the best written video game stories, ever. The visuals are pure joy, and the gameplay is very simple and pick-up and play!

The music is somewhat hit and miss (for me) and the gameplay gets a tad grating near the end, but it is absolutely worth a playthrough, if for no other reason than to see the ending, and to play the followup!

More of the same, with more pretty PSX visuals! A better game than the first but not substantially. Still very much worth your time!

When people mention "PSX aesthetics", this is the game that immediately comes to mind for me, this is the purest definition of "PSX aesthetics" out there, it's such a joy for the eyes!

The gameplay is really fun as well! One of the better done FPSes on the PSX, the movement is fun and the weapons feel satisfying!

My biggest issue is just how Short it is, clocking in around an hour or so, and while it is obvious the game wants you to re-play it, I couldn't really be bothered.

I'd have rated this 3 stars, because the story is a lot less interesting than the first game and levels feel a lot... grindier.

But man, that one jungle level, skulking through the bushes with that music playing in the background... that was a real highlight for me, enough to push it half a star further!

It's honestly remarkable to me, going from Armored Core V, to this game, how generally similar the gameplay structure and mechanics are! I guess they knew it was a winning formula right from the getgo!

I really enjoyed my time with this game, looking forward to finishing the other Armored Cores ^^

A wonderful game butchered by its DLC.

You thought broken steel for Fallout 3 was bad? Oh this is FAR worse.

One of my favourite games of all time, I need to write a proper review for this later...

Okay, here's the thing about this game...

I'm personally of the opinion that people complaining about a 2D Sonic game because "it doesn't have momentum!" or "it doesn't feel like the genesis games!" are, frankly really whiny.

I really love the genesis games, but I don't think every 2D Sonic game needs to play like them, the Sonic Rush games are testament to the ability of being able to make a Really Fun 2D game without needing to play like the genesis games.

This is the opposite of that, this is just fucking boring.

There's no level design, it boils Sonic down to its simplest form of just "Press the right button at the right time.", I frankly don't understand how this made it through development.

Definitely not a game I recommend.

An incredibly vanilla, bog standard Sonic game, which makes it incredibly fun! But also not that remarkable.

This was one of the first games I'd ever emulated actually and, I very much adored my time with it!

And while coming back to it is a tad difficult with how, very generic it is compared to the rest of Kirby's library, it's still a really fun game that I'd recommend anyone try!

Our lord and saviour Isai, God bless his soul.
