Ah yes I remember when they all told us there would be a special reveal from WayForward during a Nintendo Treehouse event and we were all so excited and befuddled as to what it could be and then it was this… thanks Nintendo very cool!

Damn crazy that they made a music compilation called "Xenoblade X". I hope they make a good game one day

I'm placing a "review" since I reached the end of the current story content. I'm playing purely free-to-play and this all off of 1.0

This is just a good JRPG, honestly, with fun characters, good presentation, and nice music. First arc is kinda whatever at times but has an amazing finale, second arc is unfinished but is way more engaging and interesting to me. I love all the dumb hidden quests and shit all over the place, makes interacting with everything fun, plus the side-quests are pretty nice (though the writing needs to be double-checked in them, lots of typos and what not)

Combat system is simple since every character only has 3 abilities and one of these is the basic attack. Still, it's a fun and snappy combat system, with satisfying animations and enough things going on to not feel boring or braindead for me. It's mostly a game about resource managemet, having to manage the team's Skill Points properly and when to time Ultimates. It's fun and I don't even use auto-battle except for the grind modes because I just like playing it. I can't even auto nowadays though, since I use Qinque and her AI is fucking dumb!!!

Personally, I have no issue with the gacha either. You primarily get equipment (Relics) from playing the game and you get some of the best units in the game (Natasha and March 7th) for free during the story. Plus I said Qinque is one of my main team members, she's also free to play and I'm using her in place of "better" gacha units like Seele.

My only real gripe with the game is time-gated content. Like, the only way to get a certain rare material to level up character skills is a boss rematch mode called Echoes of War. You can only do 3 Echoes of War per week, which is absolutely fucked. But at least failed attempts don't count...

Then there's the grind modes that use up some stamina-like system. I've gotten loads of refill items just from playing the game, but it's a lot of grinding and resources to ascend characters and what not, plus it's not really fun either. That's when I turn on x2 Speed and Auto-battle and go have a wank or something. It's also where the game's monetization probably shows up the most since you can essentially buy stamina refills, but I don't see the need for it with how many freebies I've gotten and I just stop playing if I have no stamina and don't feel like doing other stuff.

this game is basically doki doki if doki doki was a decent game

dog shit game, antonblast is already better than this and that game isnt even out yet

PORT IT! PORT IT! PORT IT! PORT IT!

I fucking love this game. Should I be ashamed to admit I had a crush on Marta? Unrequited ofc she has a partner who can switch from a twink to a vulgar slimbo in a jiffy and that's pretty handy! Both of them also have a cool fighting style and I'll always have a soft spot for them.

You have other party members who...dont have much of an arc but it's fine to be able to say a character has already reached what they want and set out to do. Don't need no extra baggage. Plus the digimons we capture are clearly more important who are we kidding?
