@unaderon - Good shout! I didn't know that existed but..I've yet to play a Spyro game XD

Goemon had two RPGs after his first three games. They only ever did two on the Famicom and never really did the genre again.

@Angel_Arle - Nice! this is the sort of obscure stuff I love! Perfect. Added to the list.

Out of curiosity, would Mario + Rabbids Kingdom battle count? Granted, Mario is already on the list thanks to Super Mario RPG, but I think it would count on the Rabbids side as the previous games are all party minigame titles (and if you really wanted to go back, Rabbids was originally tied to Rayman, a platformer)

@Drax - Hmmm. I'm not sure about that one. That seems a little pushing what I was thinking here, I'm not sure that counts as an RPG? I'm thinking the same of R-Type Tactics but haven't played them to be sure.

FWIW I would not personally consider Mario + Rabbids to be an RPG; it's an X-Com-like tactics game.

@Cowboyjosh - Thanks, I thought it was more a strategy game without RPG mechanics. Some of these genres blur together a lot now so can be hard to quantify at times.
