What is an Open world game? I see it as you being plonked into a map and mostly being given free reign of where you want across large wide open areas with minimal barriers. Sure there can be 'some' barriers for locations, but usually these are tied into overall progress and less because you got a skill like with Metroidvanias. Its a fine line I know and a lot of this is just what I 'feel' fits. So there.

Also this isnt a ranking of whats the 'best game', this is just based entirely on the maps and how much fun/how chill/how memorable they are to traverse around in. For example, no I dont think Fallout 76 is better than Fallout 3... Its just got a nicer map to roam around in.
