Never has a game had such an emotional impact upon completion. An incredibly compelling story involving intricacies or morality, human emotion, and consequences that is portrayed beautifully in some of the best voice acting of any game. The game is visually stunning, and the gameplay is intensely satisfying.

Besides the sometimes crappy camera angles, and expected 2005 clunkiness, this game surprisingly holds up 20 years later. Controls are smooth, combat is satisfying, and a good storyline with some great creativity.

My main gripe is that the final battle is not good at all. They take away all of your equipment that you’ve perfected over the last 10 hours of gameplay, and you’re forced to fight a boss that as an unblockable and practically undodgeable one shot kill.

Great game, wish it didn’t end with such frustration at its culmination

A fun hack n slash with decent a plot, but a bit clunky and little expansion on its predecessors.

An incredible, somewhat mind-bending puzzle game that tickles your brain just the right amount. Gorgeous art style and beautiful soundtrack that swells in perfect unison with the inner workings of your brain. I appreciate that doesn’t drag on, but I wish it were just a smidge longer.

This game is frustrating, because it is a clear improvement in some areas (gorgeous graphics, more weapons/customization, smoother gameplay) but failed to address the some glaring issues with the story telling, acting, and writing. Also the plot boils down to “oh no that thing we defeated is somehow back”

An inventive idea and incredible game play marred by limited customization, an over-saturation of pointless side quests, and an impossible to follow plot. Not to mention some pretty bad writing, acting, and cutscene animations. Every cutscene is skippable.

A truly unique experience in what feels like diving into an old mysterious picture book.

Much more improved from the original, this game will get your heart pounding. Creepy af, but fun and inventive.

Fun, creepy, and a little clunky

This game establishes limited boundaries for itself, and then somehow goes beyond them. Creepy, and mysterious, keeps you hooked trying to dive deeper into this dystopian nightmare.

One of the greatest games of all time. Genius story telling, incredible writing, and gut wrenching acting performances. A perfect expansion to the original groundbreaking title. And the smoother, more advanced gameplay is chefs kiss

Probably better than it’s predecessor, but lacks that jaw-dropping sense of wonder, discovery, and world building that existed in the original God of War.

2022

Cute, fun, somewhat immersive with a cool environment. Great idea, but the story is a bit lacking, and the gameplay leaves a ton to be desired. Without any real actions, the game quickly becomes incredibly boring. It relies heavily on the fact that you get to be a cat. Unfortunately disappointing considering the hype and potential
