Fun for a sec but wildly one-dimensional, would serve better as a minigame in some other actual game. Glad I didn't actually pay for it.

Really enjoyed the vibe and the whole "selfish idiot artist tortured for weeks" thing is personally satisfying, but man the gameplay is just fucking terrible. Reminds me a lot of Control in that way too, I really wanted to like both games and went in with optimism and had a good time for like a few hours, but the shit gameplay is too much of an anchor for me to get over.

It’s taken just about four years on the dot to finish Yakuza 0-6, and what a payoff, absolutely worth the time invested. This game’s mechanics are all vastly neutered compared to literally every single other game in this franchise, but this shit turned me into a blubbery mess so I don’t think it really matters. God I fucking love these games.

2016

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Would be the perfect remake if they didn’t make it so much easier than the already baby game original. Still worth playing though if you can’t find a way to play the snes version

Probably the best 2D Mario game now

Venom is 90s kitsch, give me Goblin

Can personally attest, bartending is almost exactly like this, especially the crippling depression and substance abuse

I once said I would never play a Bethesda game again and yet here we are, I am soft-locked in the opening cutscene, and I still think this company should be burned to the ground

I’m not here to yuck anybody’s yum, but this just ain’t it, tried my best.

:-) car go vroom!
:-( lottery system and micro transactions

Cool for a little sibling game, had a lot of fun playing it and have been meaning to come back to it, it’s just so long and there are way too many games I want to play more. If I’m ever babysitting though, it’s the move.

Super fuckin cool, feels so good, great everything all around. Story’s kind of out there, but I have literally never seen any mech fiction that is down to earth in my entire life, at least it’s nifty.

Gotta finish it three times though, like there’s no point picking it up if you don’t. I almost didn’t, glad I ended up doing it though. Very worth it and the next two playthroughs are extremely quick with the upgrades you get and once you figure out there’s no point using anything but shotguns lmao. 100% the most must-play game I’ve played that’s come out in the past couple years. The only reason it’s not perfect to me is the three playthrough thing cause you have to replay a lotta missions and I felt like I was grinding in Dragon Quest, but that’s pretty much my only complaint.

Also my buddy Rusty is best boy and Carla is best girl and I will take no arguments.

Gonna keep it short, I enjoy this game, it is probably the most “Final Fantasy” Final Fantasy, almost to the point of parody at points, which is great. Combat is vastly improved from XV and VIIR, story is great and lush, pacing is good (act 3 kinda chugs along a bit but no one’s perfect), and I like a lot of the characters and they’re given enough depth for me, especially if you get into reading the lore resources they give you. Major major major problem with this game that makes it impossible to recommend to people, has a pretty on-the-nose SA scene that does essentially nothing to the plot other than to be like “dang rough world out there!” which is just not enough for me to justify it being in there, and it left a bad taste in my mouth for a while. Couldn’t imagine telling someone to play this game with a huge scene so artistically embarrassing, and this is coming from a guy who is a complete moron. Really disappointing because I liked this game a lot, but them’s the breaks I guess.
