Early DS was kinda strange
A list of games in the earlier years of the DS' lifespan which felt more like tech demos and bite-size experiences than full-size modern games that came later on. Many were games that did not really represent what their franchises were normally like or were weirdly light on content. Even flagship Nintendo franchises got in on this, so they'll be at the top of the list separated from the rest by "Nintendo DS Browser". Games in this list tend to be part of pre-existing series but do not have to be. Suggestions are welcome!
To be precise, key criteria are as follows:
- The game must be strange (relative to its series if applicable) or use the DS' unique capabilities as a focal point.
- The game should be the first of its series on the DS (if applicable).
- The game must not be longer than ~12 hours; games with inconsistent lengths like Brain Age are okay. JRPGs can be longer.
- The game must not have been released later than 2008.
- I'd prefer as little shovelware as possible.
