"You can finally say with absolute conviction that it's all been worth it. It has all paid off. All roads no matter how treacherous brought you to this glory. Every obscure plot thread, every batshit twist, ..., every bit of dubious narrative legerdemain, ALL of it you now realize was designed with excruciating precision to achieve this singular, magnificent result." - Homestuck, page 7928

I can safely say without a doubt that this is my favorite piece of media ever. The well written story, the nonlinear storytelling, the characters, the soundtrack, the weird plot shit [sic], the time traveling shenanigans; all of this combined have created one of the greatest stories ever told. There are many moments that will leave you speechless. There is no such experience as seeing [s] Cascade, or [s] Caliborn: Enter the first time. This shit is peak fiction.

Homestuck is very debatable, from people saying how Act 1 is boring and painful to go through, the second half being worse than the first, and finally how the ending is rushed.
Act 1 really sets the tone of the story and is important in understanding how the game works and lays the foundation for later. Considering it is only about 250 pages in an 8000-page long comic, I'm not complaining.
The second half is not worse than the first, it's just different. It was made as a sequel to the first, and that is a very important distinction. The tone and direction the story takes are way different in the second half. My only complaints are the kinda slow start of Act 6, especially after the explosive ending of Act 5, and Act 6 Intermission 3 felt kinda boring after a while. Other than that, there were many great moments in Act 6. And really, you can't complain after seeing something like [s] Caliborn: Enter; I spent about a week just watching it and have not dared to move to the next page.
The rushed ending I kinda agree with. Act 7 could have benefitted from being like 6 minutes longer or something, but it has served its purpose and it was one of the best animations I've ever seen.
I wanted to write a longer review, but you can't really talk about Homestuck without spoiling a bunch of things and I'd hate to spoil this masterpiece to anyone.

So, if you're reading this, please give Homestuck a read. It will be worth your time.
I most likely will start rereading this a couple of months from now, so, there is that.

tl;dr
it's a comic and it's a game and it's awesome.
end of story.

Head-bopping soundtrack, butter-smooth traversal and a generous checkpoint system.
The levels were really well made, one of my favorites were The Tower. Exploring the VVVVVV dimension with your insane speed and the addictive soundtrack was my favorite thing.
The game is near perfect.

It really makes you feel like you're the last of them

My first Ratchet & Clank game.
The game was really fun and I finished it in two sittings. The different weapons really added up to the experience; Switching between weapons mid combat to adapt to different enemies made the combat engaging. My only gripes with the game are:
1) Enemies do heavy damage even on Normal difficulty which made the game seem harder than it is
2) there is no projectile indicator
3) adding a dodge button would have made the combat more interesting IMHO
4) bosses are tanky and you have to dump all your ammo on them
Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable experience and I'm now interested in trying out the original series.
I don't know if the game is good by Ratchet & Clank standards but I'll give it an 8.

2016

I played this game over the span of 4 months.
I felt that the game dragged on for too long, but maybe it was because some puzzles were stupid.
Good soundtrack and beautiful art style.

The culmination of love is grief.
And yet we love despite the inevitable, we open our hearts to it.

As an Arab, seeing Molokheiya in one of the most influential games ever made brings a smile to my face

The five stages of Yakuza 3:
Denial: "No, I refuse to accept that this game is bad as it seems"
Anger: "This game is bullshit. I'm 4 chapters in and we are still doing orphanage missions and no real story progression."
Bargaining: "Well, maybe the game is not so bad. The story seems kinda interesting."
Depression: "What the hell! Another orphanage sequence, and a goddamn 45 minute-infodumping. This is COMPLETE BULLSHIT"
Acceptance: "Well, at least the last chapter is good and the last couple fights are not a pain in the ass."

A good puzzle platformer that makes good use of an interesting mechanic and doesn't overstay its welcome. It also suffers from irritating design choices that were somewhat frustrating. Awesome game nonetheless.

Apologies in advance for poor writing, as this will be my first attempt at writing a review for a favorite game of mine and this may take longer than 5 or 6 lines. With that out of the way, let's begin.
First, I'd like to say that at this time of my life, I don't have many friends, or rather I lost most of them. When I first played this game I rediscovered the joy of gaming and the feeling that I once had when I was on my first playthrough of Dark Souls. The feeling that you are alone in the world with only a handful of NPCs to guide you or be some form of comfort in your journey into the depths of the world. The feeling of getting lost and going deeper than you thought you would, and then finding a shortcut that makes your trip back easier. These were some of the things that made me fall in love with this game immediately.
Further elaborating on the point of me not having many friends, I spent two days living totally alone with no internet connection or any form of contact, and I was having difficulty sleeping at night. But this game saved me from all that; I would just spend the night exploring new areas or fighting bosses and I would be truly happy and not afraid of anything.
Walking in the City of Tears, with the calming soundtrack and the sound of rain and the footsteps of the Knight making wet noises was just comforting. Getting lost in Deepnest due to discovering it by accident and getting back up, (Minor spoiler ahead) seeing someone that looks like me and then finding out it is a terrifying boss and beating him, that feeling of triumph and getting over your fears, walking around in the verdant Greenpath, those were all the things that made me truly love this game, and I owe this game so much for being able to spend those two days.
I won't talk about the amazing level design, or the well-designed boss fights, or the 40 charms, or the final boss. You know all those things.
I don't know if it's silly to say that I have a personal relationship with this game, but that's the reality. I love this game and I spent about 45 hours trying to 100% the game.
This was truly an amazing experience and I can't wait for Silksong.
Also, I love Hornet.

Worst rhythm game I've ever played.

Minor spoilers ahead.
This game defied all of my expectations.
Daniel Mullins has really outdid himself with this game (I still haven't played Inscryption). Every microgame is a joy to play and the story, the characters and the relationships between them is really something.
And speaking from a game development perspective, being able to make a 2D platformer, a (not so complex) fighting game, a turn based RPG, a tactical RPG, a top-down shooter, and an FPS is just awesome, especially considering the dumb gameplay of Pony Island. The little references to Pony Island was also a nice touch.
It's been a while since I've been hooked to a game this much and I even finished it in one sitting.
This is one of the most games I have ever played and it's certainly a must-play.

Floaty controls, too many gimmicky levels and overall the worst level design in the entire series.
I gave up after 10 levels and the second boss fight.
It's not really unplayable but I have had enough of Crash for now.
